In Mafia, generically speaking, Town will do everything to keep the IC alive in order to maintain the majority.

Knowing that Town won't approve of a lynch, Scum have to use a Factional Night Kill on the IC.

However, in this game it's said that you'll die at the end of Day 2, so Scum will use their factional kills on someone else.
