gyms here fall really quickly
i had six gyms last night and right now have none
i tend to try timing my gym captures late at night near my 'claim' time so that i can actually profit
even though they're being taken from the the gyms remain pretty easy for me to take down

it's hard to say though im sure ive broken 15km
i've biked a lot along with walking because bikes truly are essential tools for any pokemon master
but i don't actually own a bike so i've had to rely a lot on a considerably less useful though still essential tool my running shoes

Farfetched
Ponyta
Grimer
Onix
Hitmonlee
Hitmonchan
Kanghaskhan
Mr Mime
Scyther
Ditto
Porygon
Kabuto
Articuno
Zapdos
Moltres
Mewtwo
Mew

these are the pokemon that i've seen no trace of yet in my games - not in gyms, not in nearby, nothing
some of these i'm sure are available
somewhere
i'll eventually get to on my own (grimer, ponyta) while others are either more ambiguous (eg hitmonchan, porygon kanghaskhan) or sure unavailable (legendaries)

either way im gonna try to get 140 of the kanto dex done before trading comes out

Golduck may be a combination of gold and duck. While Golduck itself is not colored gold, gold is often used in the Pokémon canon to symbolize the Psychic type: the Gold Gummi is the Gummi variety loved by Psychic-type Pokémon, and the Marsh Badge's Japanese name is "Gold Badge".

Psyduck isn't a Psychic type for the same reason Charizard isn't a dragon type. That type was sort of OP in Gen 1. If Psyduck/Golduck had happened as early as Gen II or Gen III then he'd be Psychic maybe.

i think an experience point at level 1 is just as good as an experience point at level 20
you might get positive feedback more quickly in the former case than the latter case
but no matter what you're 1 point closer to level 21 than you were before

i don't think pokemon go is a very good game but i think it could work as an exercise incentive and for that reason i might start playing again

i think it’s better that way
the ease of trading in the mainline games made finishing pokedexes and all way too easy and thus less satisfying
without trading finishing a pokedex is all but impossible, but there’s a golden mean

If the game allows it it should be ok
mark of a poor game if it’s not enjoyable following this general principle

ur suggestion that it would be surprising if there weren't a gaming discord for his specific area strikes me as funny because pokemon go doesn't seem like the kind of game that really rewards effort to the extent that such an attitude is warranted

maybe you know where sudo lives and he's in some high density area, but when i loled that possibility hadn't immediately come to mind

trading made finishing pokedexes too easy in the mainline games
i feel like the game is already too easy while playing alone
i can't even imagine putting more effort into it besides pulling out my phone when i have to walk somewhere

In post 788, T-Bone wrote:There isn't really another way to do it. If it was a 100% then it takes away all the challenge and incentive to play.
so in pokemon go all the challenge and incentive to play is...rng
