Pokemon: GO

This forum is specifically for discussing non-Mafia games
(board, card, video, we're not picky)
.
Playing
such games should happen in the Mish Mash forum, of course.

Apparently, this reminded everyone that they had a Pokémon Trainer Club account because the website couldn't log me in or reset my password.

When I gave up and used my Google account, it took me a good while of staring at the screen and trying to hit my preferred starter to no avail before giving up.

Sorry. My answer wasn't entirely serious, as I was throwing out the Pokémon catchphrase. The others are basically correct about catching Pokémon and then battling them with others, though.

There is a gym at what looks suspiciously on this map like the animal shelter.

I don't know if I should investigate this apparent twist of irony.

Embrace your inner Valley Girl.

In other news, I have caught some monsters but do not understand what amount of CP is considered acceptable.

I also missed out on a starter Pikachu, but I am hopeful of finding one eventually. There was one in my block, apparently, but cars (passenger) make things difficult.

You might not be the only one wandering around staring at your phone in the middle of the night.

Someone else in site chat noticed that with a graveyard, too. What's up with that?

You can tell that someone(s) at that police department plays Pokémon Go.

There was a Snorlax lying by the side of the road, and I miraculously caught it, red circle and all, on the first try with a Poké Ball. Am I a Pokémon Master now?

What does transfering to the professor do? Is it worth it?
Learn to swipe like your life depended on it. You will need Pokémon Candy to power-up or evolve your Pokémon, so transferring is necessary if either interests you.

Quoth the Pokédex:

"Magikarp is a pathetic excuse for a Pokémon that is only capable of flopping and splashing. This behavior prompted scientists to undertake research into it."

You don't say!

It took me a few weeks, but I finally caught a few -- and by "a few," I mean nine in the span of two hours -- of these useless floppers only to find that I need
400
Magikarp candies to turn one into Gyarados. Are you kidding me?
