Site chat not working?

So at home, I can use site chat just fine, but at work, I don't have it at all. When I click on site chat, it says "-Online Users (0)" There's absolutely nada.

Is there anything I could do to make this work?

It just doesn't happen to ever work at my work computers. I've tried with IE, Firefox and Chrome. Perhaps the browsers are outdated, but I don't feel at liberty to mess around with updating stuff.

It could potentially be a firewall deal as well.
