The scene: a plane flying over the Bermuda Triangle. Inside the cabin, the speakers crackle and the pilot's voice speaks over the radio.

"Greetings, passengers! This is your captain speaking, we are currently headed for a crash-landing in the ocean next to that spooky-looking deserted island. Please fasten your seat belts and place your tray tables in the upright position. Thank you for flying on the maiden voyage of new Boeing 714, created in partnership with Wrigley's."

Those were the last words to be heard in the cabin of Georgia-Pacific Airways Flight 666, non-stop to Hell, Michigan, with a layover near the Cape of Good Hope, Africa. Shortly thereafter the left wing ripped itself free of the plane, and it tumbled into the ocean.

There were but 13 survivors, each beaten and bruised, one sporting a particularly nasty paper cut. They would have to survive. But there was a bit of a problem...

There's nothing really special about you. You managed to survive the crash, but other than that, nothing notable has happened. Now you're alone and trying to survive. You could say you're but a townie in the city of life.

"AAAAAAAAAAAIAIAIA COUNTED WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG! I'M GONNA GO LOOK AT THE PLANE'S ENGINNNNNNNNNNNNNNE!"

"NO, DON'T DO THAT!"

You watch in shock and horror as George gets sucked violently into the jet engine, and comes out the other side as extremely grim confetti.

"Well, now we're down to 16 people..."

Two people who have identified themselves as Frederick and Daphne suddenly speak up.

"We should split up and look for civilization!"

"WE DON'T WANNA"

"Well OK then, me and Daphne will go into the jungle and look for clues!

The pair walks over to the supplies you've scavenged from the wreckage, load a few into a messenger bag, and head into the jungle.

So you all lived in peace on the beach for about a week, even though your numbers were dwindling rapidly. There was that bizarre incident when an arrow from out of nowhere impaled a man known as Ethan straight through the chest; it was later discovered that the one called "Tim" had been testing his bow made from scavenged parts out in the jungle, and it had misfired; a similar accident shortly thereafter left them with 12 survivors and Tim's brother missing a sibling.

And then, at the end of that week, you made a gruesome discovery...

"WE'RE OUT OF FOOD!"

"What's in that box over there?"

"Ramen."

"What flavour is it?"

"Beef."

"So it's unfit for eating, then... Well, let's attach a message to it and set it adrift, like a message in a bottle!"

"Now what?"

"It would seem we'll have to resort to... cannibalism...."

You decided that you should roast that strange man who had identified himself as "Dr. Merkwürdigliebe" over an open fire. Slowly, to sear his juices in. How delicious. And as he turned upon the spit, atop the fire, atop the beach, atop the island, begat Mehujael, begat Methusael, begat Lamech, a small card fell out of his pocket. One of you fished it out of the fire, badly burning their hand.

And so was stated upon it, an ominous sign. A sphere of yellow, with a streak of red running through it, and below it a single word - Clarion. Also on the card is his true name and a short description of his duties.

The next day, someone who had been exploring the jungle stumbled out.

"Hey, I found something!"

The remaining 11 wandered into the forest where they came across an ornate structure. A strange podium-like thing was overshadowed by a gigantic hollow grid, with 9 squares a spiral staircase going up either side. A skeleton lie in the bottom right square, apparently passed by of old age. You decide to move your camp to here, and finally be comfortable and safe in the squares, with plenty of firewood around. Unfortunately, the berries of the holly bushes aren't edible. So you'll need to continue with the cannibalism.

It is now Day Two. With 11 alive, it takes 6 to lynch.
