ALso agree that this hop on from murdercats looks shitty. But I'm not reading it as opportunistic. I think it's a bus.

I feel like this is a post designed to look like he wants to vote Ira, but he's subtlety hinting that Ira's town meta looks scummy.
There's no hinting involved. His town meta does look scummy. So does his scum meta. Hence why I want to get a read there. Come on JarJar.

Doing a full reread because I've been marathoning and not paying enough attention here.

There's no reason for him to be upset if he actually thinks JarJarDrinks is scum-aligned anyway, he would think that he's a scum-aligned player trying to lynch him and not be bothered by it.

MURDERCAT is scum-aligned and "caught for the wrong reasons". His outrage at being accused is genuine, but only made more so by the fact that he is scum-aligned. He actually thinks that JarJarDrinks' argument is stupid, yet in his eyes it infuriatingly comes to the correct conclusion.
wut
In post 224, iraonavp wrote:MURDERCAT literally said "how are you being so misrepresentative as town"!
Obviously my point was he couldn't be misrepping me that much as town. See: the fucking next line where I vote him.
In post 228, evilpacman18 wrote:56 shows that he's a victim of the misconception that voting creates pressure on people that then forces them to reveal their alliance a little more clearly. It's wrong and bad town play, and he could achieve a read by just posting more and reading more closely. But the main thing about 53 is that Murdercat is trying to get reads, and is probably town.
As I said above, I've been marathoning. Pressure does create action though and actions can be read.

This is a lazy question. I think it's kind of obvious, but I guess I'll elaborate. The quote change posts struck me as if he was thinking too much about how he was putting his words, especially on a post that looked like it was trying to be townie by saying he didn't give a shit what the other person had to say or whatever, which not only is pretty irritating but also LAMIST. "You're right, this is my scum play" and "Welp, lynch me" is the sort of posts that mafioso has been putting out repetitively, in a kind of baiting manner. From all the games I've played, that type of "welp, lynch me" always comes from scum. It's scum trying to act townie by trying to make it obvious that they don't care about being lynched, which while it is townie when done sparsely, if it's repetitive like this it's scummy.
Sounds like an NAI playstyle thing to me. I will use fake anger as a tool as any alignment.

As far as I can tell, the whole suspicion thing on Iraon was just him and trivium bumping heads slightly and he didn't seem to answer things quite right. I have gotten stuck in this trap myself so I agree that he probably just reads formal and maybe a tad awkward, but it could also be nervousness & defensiveness if he is bad. I don't really have a good read on him yet, but I do find it extremely weird that Accountant jumped on him like that and just won't let up. Accountant, can you shed some light on why you are so quick to jump on Iraon? You seem quite eager.

You guys should all vote JJD because only scum misreps my "jump" onto ira, calls pacman sure scum, thinks TM is scum here, has 5 total scummy players and only 2 strong town reads, and thinks Triv, Accountant, and Iraon are the townies players in the game right now.

I've been trying out new styles recently as my day 1's are pretty bad. Here is me attempting to meta. I don't know if I will actually stick with these reads, but I figured I would try this and see how I did at the end of the game:

Spoiler: Bacde (probably town)
- this to me, seems like a town post. I agree with everything he is saying about Triv (see my spoiler on him for why I don't think he is scum though). It doesn't read to me as opportunistic or overly aggressive. I believe this is a genuine scum read.
- this is exactly how I feel. This post is less likely to come from scum than town, in my opinion.
Meta read backs this up, IMO.

Spoiler: JarJarDrinks (null town)
I was wrong about JJD, I think. After a meta read, I have somewhat reversed my opinion.
My meta read suggests that this is more likely to come from town!JJD. In the scum game I read, he was mostly attacking early on.
I originally took issue with this, but town JJD isn't afraid to twist words.
This post made me rethink the scum read the most. In his scum game, JJD had poor reasoning for his scum reads and they were over the top for the evidence that was available to him. In his town game he had clear reasoning and interacted with his scum reads more.

Spoiler: evilpacman18 (null town)
I noticed in a game the pacman was actually willing to vote early on in a scum game
Pacman is hard to read. It seems as if he is more cautious and is willing to examine all angles as town, as he has this game.

Spoiler: Trivium (Scum lean)
I think I was wrong here too.
This sort of aggressiveness seems out of character for Triv in town games.
I feel like town triv unvotes here
Over aggressiveness again.
Town Triv doesn't seem to have this type of confidence

Spoiler: Accountant (probably town)
Meta read suggests that Accountant is very quick to declare town/scum reads
These are the sorts of strong opinions I expect town Accountant to have

Spoiler: Town Mafioso (null)
Not enough to meta. Sitting on this for now.

Spoiler: Xkfyu (null)
Not enough posts in game.

Spoiler: I Am Innocent (null)
All I got is that IAI is maybe more likely to fluff as town early.

Spoiler: iraonavp (scum lean)
I've noticed that iraonavp tends to be more defensive as scum than as town and will OMGUS
This feels like an attempt to act townie early, which seems to be more indicative of scum for iraonavp.
OMGUS
defensive

Spoiler: Tam (null)
No recent games to meta.

My reads list based on gut (which is what I normally use) is something like:

{Bacde, Accountant, EP}
{Triv, TM}
{Tam, IAI, iraonavp, Xkfyu}
{JJD}

Based on what you said in 61 you dont support a lynch on your current vote.

Stop hindering my way of getting an early game townbloc
Early game townbloc is the stupidest idea since the backwards toilet paper roll. Sure, it would be nice, but you don't know who's town and who's not. Or at least, you shouldn't. Also, please back up your statements with reasoning and stuff. VOTE: Mafioso
Just a few examples. These are all things that feel like fake scum hunting that could also easily come from bad town. Like these all ping me in a gut way until I really analyze them and decide they could easily come from town too.

Since my meta read, I am less sure on Triv town though.

(by the way, in the Bacde spoiler above I said to look at the Triv spoiler, but I decided to do these posts differently, so now that makes no sense, because I'm calling him scum there. Really you should look here.)

That beginning bit that murdercat seems all 'pinged' about is really just me fucking around to get out of rvs as fast as possible because I don't get the point of it. I'm not going to defend myself any more either, so you can either fuck off or mislynch. I don't think murdercat is mafia, but evilpacman is obviously sheeping hard and I'm just disappointed with the confirmed town.

iraon, you just say things, but you don't really explain why that thing is true. Like, why does Accountant thinking that JJD is town for post make Accountant scum. Like really think about that and answer it please.

Ok, but what if Accountant is town? Can it make sense for Accountant to be town and believe that JJD's post was a town post? Like you are kind of just saying words. Prove to me that only scum could believe that is a town post. Explain why Accountant's reasoning is bad please.

"Mafia has an obsession with justifying everything they do and giving long lists of reasons for doing stuff. That doesn't mean that people who justify themselves excessively are mafia, but it does mean that people who don't are town. I feel like a mafia JJD would have come up with a better reason than "sheep lol" in order to look good, which is another thing mafia are obsessed with."

Why is that wrong iraonavp.

Here's the thing Iraon, your posts don't make sense. The questions I asked were actually all legitimate attempts to understand you position. When you just say things like "look at this it's ridiculous" that's not enough for me to know if you are town or scum. Understanding
why
you think it is ridiculous is what I need from you. I see you think it's wifom, but do you really think that scum is going to act scummy to wifom? Isn't scum's goal to try to look townie?

This is an extremely scum-aligned post and even if I wasn't reading MURDERCAT as scum-aligned already I would be.

He doesn't really think that he's obviously town-aligned, this is early day 1 and multiple people have been trying to lynch him. It's entirely bluster...
Let's try this again. What evidence do you have that makes you think I don't really think I'm obviously town-aligned?

NO. NOT THIS. ANYTHING BUT THIS.
I need to elaborate on this because I really want to drive the message home- Don't say you're obvious town. Last game I played we had a mafia member constantly assert they were obvious town until everybody just believed them, and I don't want the fact that the IC thinks you're town to create a scum win for you. I townread you, but don't do this.
I am saying that because I
am
obvious town. And I will continue to say it, if I wish to poke fun at people who know it's true but are pretending I am not as townie as I actually am.

Iraon you may very well be town. You need to prove it to me though. The number 1 most important part of being town is not being mislynch, NOT catching scum. If all of town avoids being mislynched then town will have a perfect win. The way you prove you are town is by walking everyone through your thoughts and why they make sense.

Triv, I am town because I am actively trying to solve the game. I am pressuring Ira, but not being opportunistic about pushing him. I am handing him branches to give him a way out if he is town. I am remaining open minded, while still making my opinions clear. That is why I am obviously town.

Well the obvious 3 answers that come to mind are :

a. you are scum and this is invalid
b. you are town and different scum is already voting you
c. you are town and he wants cred for not voting you

You are literally giving him town cred right now for not voting you. If you flipped town and he was on the wagon he is more likely to be scum read than if he were not on the wagon.

Triv you are posting more now then back when you were not being suspected. That's evidence of scum not wanting to get lynched. Maybe you are town who doesn't know what's going on, but you're a good day 1 lynch, imo. I don't buy the pity party, sorry.

I literally have no idea what this is even saying. Triv was flailing. He would have to be lynched eventually. Robb is now not flailing and looks way more town so I moved my vote. The Tam slot is honestly pretty null so I provided pressure there. What's the issue?

It's optimal to lynch scum, it doesn't matter when it happens. More content is usually good, but it can also allow town to get sidetracked or have doubts when they are actually on scum.

Tbh I have no idea why he would lie. But the moment I saw that post I knew it wasn't true. Regardless of alignment why would anyone lie about it? I honestly don't know. Do you?

I'm always going to scum read liars. Can't help it. Town has very few legitimate reason to lie and this isn't one of them.
About this whole thing, a meta read showed he was more likely to vote early as scum, but I'll need to read more games.

I was there before but tbh MC has been posting my exact thoughts way more often than you have. The Tam wagon started feeling skeevy for me around the same area that MC expressed that. I no longer support the Tam compromise. I think Ira is bad town. I think Triv slot may be town. In which case we're looking at opportunism around it.

IIRC pac started being pushed then Iraon/Triv lynch cropped up as a counter. Then Tam came about as a counter. Given that I'd strongly prefer pac, but you should convince MC because I am actually 100% sure he's town and would bet the game on that.
I can work with a pac lynch

Blah blah blah

JJD looks better than sonrio now. I think it's VERY interesting that I'm trying to get a lynch going on Xk with some other suspicion on pacman and the wagon on pacman took off but the wagon on Xk didn't. Xk has a BLATANTLY fake read on that slot imo and is very likely scum.

I actually thought you were only like 60/40 on being scum but that comment makes it like 90/10.

No it sounds like you are trying to explain things after the fact. "I wanted to test him" isn't proper reasoning because saving him also tests him.

Accountant you are all but confirmed. If we no lynch today you will die, so I think we should just go for it. You are driving this thing now though.

Xk and Impo, please post your best evidence that the other one is scum and go ahead and claim too for good measure. Reasons you can't be scum with Tam/Ira will also be accepted.

FWIW, I'm feeling very confident we are going to win this.

Accountant go read either of my scum games, if you are choosing one, do Ranger's micro. Watch how I interact with my scum reads there and what I did with Ira and Tam here. Xk is basically confirmed scum for me now based on how he is pushing me, watch how us three come in to the day unsure and questioning and he has a lynch in mind from the beginning. If you can't read through how obvious it is he is scum pushing a mislynch right now I don't know what to tell you.

Oh and the reason you should read Ranger's micro is because JR was on me most of that game and it was pure town read this game.

Also, compare how I acted this game to the KTS game when I was treated as confirmed town. Like once I am town read that much I go into a certain mode where I'm not worried about looking scummy or anything.

I'll try to get to the library tonight so we can end this, I think I'll just glance at XK's ISO to make sure nothing sticks out as obv town and I want to look at the pacman lynch and who wouldn't join me on XK.

If you wanna hammer go for it, there is literally 0 chance that Accountant is scum. I was sketchy about the Tam wagon so I don't blame you for hesitating but FWIW I've never seen JR white knight a town read like with Accoutant and I and be wrong so I am sure Xk is scum.

I don't really mind, there was 0 chance I was ever going to lynch Accountant. No matter how many times I read this game.
