1. If the game remains in the same day for 3 weeks, it'll go into deadline. In every 24 hour block after the deadline has hit, at least half of the living players must post or the game will go to night. So yeah, lynch quickly or keep things active.
   
2. Night deadlines are "whenever I next get online 48 hours after [the lynch scene/finding any necessary replacements]." If I'm missing your choice and you're on AIM, I'll contact you and give you a minute to think of something. Otherwise, you'll just miss your choice. I will not announce day sooner, even if all choices are in.
   
3. No Lynch is not allowed in this game.
   If the game goes to night due to a deadline, the person with the most votes will be lynched. If there is a tie at this point, I will flip a coin. Please don't tie. (Note that the mafia win condition ends the game at 50%.)
   
4. With the exception of living mafia communicating at night, living players may not discuss this game off of the thread with either other living players or dead ones. Living players may ask nonplaying rantbuddies nicely if they would ever replace into this game and, if they say that they won't, proceed to rant. Rantbuddies should not be doing your scumhunting or passing messages along. I am of course available, sympathetic and discreet.
   
5. Votes should be in the format '

   .' If they are not, they won't count. I will register misspellings and nicknames if I can figure out who you're referring to. You do not have to
   unvote
   , but you're welcome to do so anyway.
   
6. Do try to be active. Living players may publically or privately request a prod for a player who hasn't posted in at least 72 hours. I will automatically send one out to anyone who hasn't posted in a week. If asked, I will publically disclose the status of any prod.
   
7. I will seek a replacement for anyone who has not picked up a prod for 48 hours or has requested replacement. If you have been prodded more than twice in the same day phase, I will confront you about this.
   
8. When a player has the majority of the votes at a single point, it is dead and the game goes to twilight. No one may post in twilight.
   
9. I don't like 'Bah!' posts all that much, but I'll allow them because this is an open game. Don't say anything relevant after you're dead, obviously.
   
10. I'll try to post one votecount per page. If I miss a page, I'll edit a votecount into the top of the page. Every page will have a votecount somewhere. If I make mistakes in my votecount, it is your right to verbally abuse me. "Point them out gently" indeed.
    
11. The out-of-character font is my domain. Don't impersonate me, especially if you are Unvote.
    
12. Read your role PM. Don't reference ongoing games. Don't take advantage of any abilities you might have as a list mod. Don't flame players excessively. I might be forgetting some things; I reserve the right to add rules and clarifications mid-game as I see fit.
    
13. Play to win, but do try to have fun while you're at it.

You're in a jail cell in Logicstan with your hood bruthas and sistas. Apparently the guy you shot at the bank actually

. This scene is not unfamiliar.

You know you'll sit in the cell until morning. Then Tables Bob, the warden, will give you a puzzle and threaten to kill you all if one of you screws up. Then you'll all get it right and he'll have no choice but to let you go. You're on very familiar terms with Tables Bob, but you have even closer bonds between each other. By now, you can see your hat's color in Shanba's eyes.

It's a pretty relaxed night. Logicstan prison food isn't bad, and JDodge has managed to hide £500 worth of American, British and Maltese currency in his armpit. You're all figuring out how to divide it up evenly when a jailer comes in.

It isn't Tables Bob. It's a woman with a vacuum cleaner where her left arm should be. In her right hand is a page from a scientific journal. She slides it through the bars, and you get a glimpse of the headline:

Ether's phone rings.

"Whatever you're selling, I don't--oh. That's different. This is Ether speaking. Day 3, eight alive. No, no, I mean in the metaphorical sense. I know not to kill anyone until after the trial.

"I'm really not seeing DNet as a crime lord. She's just a bit irrational; you'd be, too. I know it's difficult to obtain sleepy gas legally, but--

"Oh, wow. That does change things. The game's going into deadline shortly, but I could definitely bump it up for you. It's not like these guys have any way to tell what time it is in there, heh."

Glork gives her a funny look. She smiles and waves. At this point, Patrick moves his vote.

"Oh, even better! Yeah, we just need a bit of time for a night phase now."

Crub (Vanilla Townie) has been lynched. It is now Night 3.

Don't take more than 48 hours...but if the scum and doctor both send nontentative nightchoices to me and this ends the game, I'll open the thread early.

The lights are out for the night. Ether slips back into the corridor. She holds a flashlight in front of her face.

"You all break out of jail and decide to cross the woods to escape justice. You stop at IH's mom's house. She gives you fish paste to eat on your journey, and warns you that there are ghosts in the woods. But none of you listen.

"As soon as you're halfway through the woods, the clouds grow heavy--not that you can tell that through the foliage. Not until it's too late. Soon, the snow is too thick to keep walking. Andycyca finds an old abandoned cabin, and you all hide in it.

"A week later, you're out of fish paste and it's still snowing. You realize that you have to get more fish paste...or you'll die. But in the thick snow, no one wants to go outside. You agree to draw lots to kick someone out. Thestatusquo gets the shortest straw...but he refuses to bravely sacrifice himself.

"The next morning, he wakes up outside of the cabin with a note: '

Get food, jerk.

' He finds a rock and hits the frozen surface of a nearby stream until it cracks. A fish immediately jumps out and squirms helplessly on the ice. It is a fish of every color of the rainbow.

"'Spare my life!' it pleads in perfect English. 'I will transport you and your friends to safety!' Thestatusquo pauses, wondering if the fish is trustwor--"

The phone rings.

"So, um, the scum kill him and he's the doctor. Town loses." Ether spits a brief "Yes, yes, whatever" into the phone.

"Okay, town, you have like two hours to live and then it's the chair. Because Shanba, Andycyca and Patrick

betrayed

you. The filthy scum will be free to wander the streets, until next time. I hope Team SAP taught you a lesson."

As you're led off, the mafia stare after you through the open frame of the door. Then when they can't see you anymore, they stare at each other instead. Andycyca stares at the floor.

But Patrick catches the look in Shanba's eye. He nods.

Thestatusquo (Doctor) has been nightkilled. The scum (Andycyca, Patrick and Shanba) win!

Look into your soul, Patrick. You wanted to be scum with Shanba and Mert, until you actually got it. Sort of. Andycyca was last on Thesp's list instead of Mert. The RNG is funny like that.

Hopefully my flavor and modding policies were decent. It felt weird, using an "Ether" persona that probably got way too much stagetime. ¬_¬
