The minimap was a blur of coloured pings as the group struggled to coordinate on a gank.
A group of players was caught, but all had their escapes up. Part of the group pinged one, part pinged the other. The damage was split.
With quick thinking, one of them flashed over a wall into the forest, separating them from their partner and the group.
Greedily, the chasers burned their own flashes and entered the forest, but lo, their prey was simply too fast and their numbers insufficient to catch them.
They lost their enemy in the enemies forest, and were unable to even take blue buff as a consolation prize.
With the main group split, their numbers were insufficient and the tower was fast approaching. To continue would be folly.
They pulled from the gank and made their way to the Rift Herald, to try to gain a shred of benefit from the misplay.
All players escaped from the gank alive.
No one able to contest, the players moved for the Rift Herald.
Many players felt entitled to the powerful buff and the squabbling immediately broke out once the powerful mob had been pulled.
Top lane felt that they needed it because they were behind and needed an edge to catch up versus their lane opponent.
Mid wanted to continue to snowball and be able to roam and make players for their team.
The Jungler felt that they were the most important choice because they could make plays all over the map.
The AD Carry of course procs the buff the most frequently and felt entitled to it for that reason.
Unable to reign in the infighting, the support gave up and went back to base to purchase items.
But because of their inability to agree the players wouldn't work together and the Rift Herald overwhelmed the spurious teamwork and sent the players packing.
'fuk this idiot mid' cried the ADC.
'holy fuck i'm not giving rift herald when you're fucking 0/5' cried the Mid.
'it's because this jungle is a fucking piece of shit who doesn't gank shit' cried the Top.
'this adc couldn't dodge a skillshot if their life depended on it' cried the Jungler.
Exasperated, the support banged their head against the desk and made their way toward the river to place wards.
No experience was obtained by the group.
Twilight has begun.
