Black and White

Black and White is a strategic head-to-head game originating from a South Korean reality show called The Genius, and has been played in Mish Mash games such as Pokémon Colosseum, Reality Show X, and most recently at the live event #SurvivorMeet. Today it will be your Brawl, and only one will make it out alive.

GAME RULES

Both players will receive 9 cards, numbered 0 through 8. The cards with even numbers are black, while the cards with odd numbers are white. Every turn, both players will play a card, and the player with the higher number will receive a point. However, you will never see the number on any card your opponent plays.

For the first turn, there will be a coin toss determined by dice roll. The player who wins the coin toss gets to choose which player will present a card first in the first round of play. For every round thereafter, the player who won the previous round will be the first to submit a card.

After the first player privately submits the card they wish to play, the color of the card played will be revealed to the other player (black for an even number, white for an odd number). The second player will then privately submit their card, the color of which will also be revealed. It is then announced which player played the higher number, and that player will receive a point and present a card first the following turn. The two cards played will then be discarded. If the two cards played were the same number, then no player will receive a point, both cards are discarded, and whoever went first that turn will present a card first again the following turn.

After all cards have been played, the competitor with the most points will win and the loser will be eliminated from the game. If there is a tie in points, another match will be played, until a winner is crowned. In a tiebreaker game, whoever lost the first coin toss will choose who presents first. The game will end when it becomes impossible for one player to win or force a tie.

The only reason I didn't get it the first challenge was because I'm a complete movie nerd and the only reason I did anywhere near decent in the second challenge was because I play Mafia
