Don't say "rip me" until the enemy rolls. You still have a 1/6 chance
at minimum
to survive with a roll of 1, but a 5/6 chance to win if you roll a 6 (and a 100% chance to survive).

Though, this is when things turn into a crawl, especially since 40+ rolls is nothing to laugh at. (We're looking at 40-85 rolls, barring no ties happen at all, because nothing happens if there is a tie, unless my math is wrong)

Slight suggestion: XdY for combat, so instead of having to manually roll one at a time, you can speed things up a little bit. And to prevent having a billion rolls at once, perhaps just setting a cap (like in this case, 5d6).

Oh, huh. So instead of 12/40 (10/40 for Ircher), I now have 12/32 (10/32 for Ircher), and everyone on their first encounter on level 1 has X/30. Oh well. Closest you can get without going extremely overboard, 'cause otherwise I'd already be on my third encounter. :P

Yeah, but now you're ahead of me by a few hits while still having more HP on this current fight. As for the string of 1s, I've been getting bad rolls in general. Not many 1s, I don't think, but bad enough rolls to take hits/break even instead of making progress.

Actually, they won't go as quickly as you might think. The higher the opponent's ATK/DEF, the slower the match will go, and the lower the maximum damage. In this case, I can only do a maximum of 4 damage per turn. Same applies to my opponent because we both have -1 to our rolls.

In fact, the slowest matchup would be 3 DEF vs 3 DEF with the highest damage possible being 2. This is also
the most prone
to ties due to the first three rolls doing the same thing (1 damage).
