The problem is -although I've played with most of you before- there are only a handful of people whom I could actually have a decent read on in early game. As for the event triggering the -2 stress: an extension of me being a miller I suppose is that my event power instead of raising stress lowers it by two. That was my trigger. (I know, Varsoon said that in general, town events will raise stress and scum events will lower stress. But mine didn't. Dealwithit.) It was a pro-town power, I assure you, best used early rather than later especially given that I'm going to die early this game regardless.

NC had the two players who were possibly scum wagoned together. NC if scum, most likely is scum with RR or Creature due to the rule of 3. (Namely if a scumfuck gives a reads list where there's multiple scum, more likely than not there's a buddy). By having Creature and RR as the options, I could see if NC would bus or not. By approaching this from that angle, NC clearly didn't believe in their scumread allegedly on Creature or RR.

NC has had irregular interactions with RR that have been documented by other people. Yet, she suddenly it's not wanting to rope them.

I have a lot of trouble with large themes, not necessarily because of the larger player size but because a lot of players tend to take it as an excuse to shitpost and troll and what have you rather than playing the actual game. This pisses me off which also tends to tilt my scumdar and read players as scum who are probably just town shitting around. It also increases my apathy levels and makes it more difficult for me to get firm reads. I know I can't be the only player like this; farside mentioned it earlier in the thread. Cool it on the shit posts; post well or not at all. There's already going to be a lot of noise in this thread. Firebringer, in particular, needs to tone it the fuck down.

I'm on the fence about a lot of players but here are some thoughts and reads I've had.

farside is town (Even though I will probably get accused of buddying w/e). A high level of engagement with the game and probably the game's strongest scumhunter currently. Which is why Snarky is really hard to read. On the one hand, the push is bullshit. On the other hand, they are putting themselves out there very strongly with their bullshit read/case thing. I'm uncertain as of this moment if that's because Snarky is scum caught with their pants down and now forced to push the read until they can weasel their way out of it OR they are town who genuinely believe what is actually not a fantastic scumread at all. So I'm sitting on that one.

SirCakez and McMenno are two other scumreads I have. If a wagon emerged on either on them, I would definitely join in. grapes has largely outlined a fairly excellent case on Cakez, but there is a strong tendency of surface level play, a going through the motions of engagement. McMenno has been lurking in the wings and also rolefishing super hard. I think every player here wants more answers in terms of role shit but McMenno's questioning of Mastin seemed like scum using the pretense of that lack of information to try and secure a lynch.

I wanted to pressure TWIE almost more than I scumread them. If that makes sense. See if I could beetlejuice them into the thread.
Same thing with Xkfyu. The big difference here being that they showed up and made some other awful posts.

I am really not sure what people are seeing in Not Chara as scum.

I've never played with Seraphim before.

Now, this feels like a catch 22. I would logically re-evaluate my reads if I was wrong, like anyone else. My Cakey read is partially derived from NC being scum (note I have said the rule of three). This naturally creates the concern that I wouldn't lynch Cakey if wrong. If I said I wouldn't re-evaluate my reads, you discredit me on the basis of being a tunneller.

1- farside voting SC hit me as a surprise. I had just read a full read list in which SC was town. What gives?

I'll give you a little peek into my thoughts while we're at it (this is a rare incident):

At one point I thought SS was the lie detector. The "event" happened close enough to him catching up, so I thought it to be a good chance he was the one. I immediately moved him from Null to a slight town read (bc I had no way to confirm he IS the LD). Anyway, later on Creature did his stunt and seemed like claiming LD himself, and I'm left with big question marks at best. Is Creature for real?? Why would he do that if he is? Or did he notice what I did and is trying to cover for SS? And if so, what means of communications do they have together that guarantees such a stunt just doesn't backfire?

Of course, I could be far off and maybe neither of them is the lie detector. I seem to be missing lots, even about my own role. For example, I don't even know why I thought I was about to get confirmed. The fact is it says up there that the event I'm in (Joy Ride) prevents me from using my powers on anyone outside of it, and protects me from being affected by powers of those outside of it. How could I have missed THAT?

Oh, well.. if anyone has been town reading me based on me proclaiming town earlier; feel free to retract and reconsider.
