Hi. We should crumb Masons just in case we need it later in the game.

A code formed with the first letter of every post we make at the beginning of D1. In ISO people could read the message, after we point it out. I mean this would only be useful in the late game. For example if one of us is still alive could prove he is mason by revealing the message.

I'd write something like "MASON WITH Z" and you'd write the same but N instead of Z.

I saw a pair of Masons doing this in a past game years ago.

Alright, let's shorten it then. I'll also write "MSN W Zyf", maybe OMGUSing you when I write Zyf, maybe not depending on circumstances, but I'll start my fifth post with your name. It will take the first 5 posts to write the entire code.

Let me check past games with this setup and see if masons already tried something like this. I don't want scum to catch us.

BTW, I think to avoid being NKed we should either play obvtown or a bit scummy (of course avoiding to be the top scum read of everyone). I mean, by playing obvtown scum could think of us as VT, and by playing a bit scummy they would want to keep us alive to set a mislynch.

Also, who and where to recruit is something better to discuss N1, but I'd like to confirm someone like Thor. Though he could be a NK target if town.

Ok. Then try the obvtown card. I'll probably play obvtown at the beginning too. We want to avoid getting to L-1 and forced to claim early.

After reading a few recent games with masons, it seems this kind of crumb is not common, so it probably would pass unnoticed for scum.

So yeah, we're crumbing this code, and we won't give any other hint of us being masons, like hardly townreading each other or something like that. We want to keep our interactions natural as two VTs.

Avoiding being killed N1 should be our first priority, obviously after avoiding to be suspected a lot to the point of getting forced to claim early on D1.

The recruited mason should also crumb on D2, BTW. But we'll discuss that later.

Maybe. The point of crumbing in this way is to use it when one or two of us die and the remaining mason(s) need to prove their role.

So if the recruited mason is the one who died and you and I are alive and in a situation in which revealing the message to confirm our roles is necessary, then it's better that the recruited mason had crumbed, not only you and me.

BTW it may happen that we never need to use it. This would probably be only useful in a scenario in which one of us is the only mason left alive, but is suspected, together with a scum who suddenly fakeclaims mason, making it a 1v1. And then the real mason just have to say: "I can prove I'm the real mason" .

I think I've only played with Thor and some ongoing stuff I'm not sure I can talk about.

As I said if Thor is town he will likely die on N1 or N2, so not sure if recruiting him is a good idea. We will have more info for discussing this on N1.

Why Dunnstral or Karno?

In fact I think you are going to be NKed tonight. You were good with your reads (especially in the end of D1), you pushed karnos' lynch hard, you are a very active player, and you might have given some PR vibes when asking people to claim.

I'm leaning to recruit Thor. I think he's more scummy in my eyes than BBT. Unless you think Thor is more likely to be town and a likely NK.

Now, whoever we decide to recruit, if he turns out to be scum, and you survive, you should out him, but probably wait until the end of D2 to see how other players behave around a pushing of his lynch.

Again, the crumb is only useful in LyLo or MyLo, with a scum fakeclaiming mason.

LOL, it's more the "such is my claim" part that could give clue to scum, but as I said I think you did fine. Had they noted the claim or not, scum are probably debating in their PT if you were recruited, and I wager they're considering shooting you right now.

Anyway, I might be wrong and we are all surviving tonight. We should not bother to bet on it, but to discuss who's scum.

Io's death was an attempt to kill a mason, I think. Scum priority is to kill a mason right now. That's why I was considering our chances of surviving. But we've had enough of it.

I like your reads Thor, and I'm doing some ISOs right now. So far I find the interactions between karnos and N_M interesting. Karnos pushed a lot for a N_M lynch, even to the point of defending Martha/texcat's slot, and encouraging people to move to N_M's wagon. I'm afraid N_M could be town . It's annoying how antitown he is.

That went pretty well, I think game is almost solved now. So the correct recruit choice was BBT after all.

I admit I had my doubts about him being scum. Now assuming the third scum didn't vote BBT (bussing would be suicidal), then it's a simple choice between Penguin and texcat. Though DeasVail's hammer could be a desperate scum move to gain some cred, but at this point, with two masons left alive chances of winning are almost null for scum. So yeah: Penguin or texcat.
