These will be either common Guildgates or rare shocklands and show up in packs at their original rate. It was also confirmed that there is a mythic rare land in DGM that will be in the land slot at mythic rate."

Dragon's Maze Prerelease will only have 1 single promo card and you will apparently be doing something equivalent to the Avacyn Restored Pre Release

For Aggro to Top 8 right now in major events, it has to get really lucky on Match ups and what they draw.

Ok. I made my comment because of the fact I played an high tier aggro deck that has consistently shown up and got ROFL stomped every single round I played in due to the deck that was across of me and some mistakes I made. People can play aggro and be perfectly fine but in the major tournaments like Star City and Grand Prix. You will see less aggro decks in top 8 than say your local TCG Player Bronze/Silver event. As I top 8'ed in the Silver event that was being held there while I loss horribly in the main event. You run into less Aristocrats, Junk Rites, and Reanimator.

Hell I'd argue that more newer players will run aggro over the decks I named because they take a lot more skill than Aggro.

Fate, Chill the Fuck out for one goddamn minute. MY DECK THAT I PLAY COMPETITIVELY IS AGGRO.
I know what Aggro has to do to win, and I know how it can lose. I'm getting my Expenses towards Local Major Tournaments paid for. So I am aware of everything that will happen. Which is why when I play in the Next TCG Platinum event that is coming to Texas, I will be playing Aggro since the Set will have just came out.

You have to be open minded to all possibilities to decks you will face against. The meta surrounding the venue. Like Texas is known for Aggro.

I never said Aggro isn't Incapable to evolving, It's just Aggro has less cards Viable for it since the mana curve is really low.

Unless you are running Jund Aggro, Which has low cost removal in the forms of Tragic Slip, Ultimate Price, Devour Flesh, and Deathrite Shaman against any Reanimator Deck.

Anyways, I am done with this argument.

Pie, You should be fine running Silverblade. I run 4 of in my Sele Aggro deck, I have pretty frequently gone. Turn 1: Pilgrim, Turn 2: Smiter, Turn 3: Pass (To Cast Wurm at then end of their turn) or Silverblade.

Also Thalia is a good card even with 12 spells. It severely slows down Control and most Mid range decks that run Farseek, While you're casting Big Beefy Creatures.

I have a couple of friends playing Merfolk and Dredge. I met David Thomas at SCG Dallas back in January and talked to him a bit then about legacy and told me if I wanted to ever get into the legacy scene around Houston he'd show me around. My Report for the First TCG 5k after Rotation

I intentionally Drew with an GW aggro
Deck I lost to: Esper Control in Round 4

Decks I beat: GW Kalonian Aggro, UW Control, Mono Blue Aggro, BWR Midrange, GR Aggro and Esper Control

Funny thing about my win against Esper Control. I had already won Game 1 and we were in Game 2, I was down to 6 life and he had an Lifebane Zombie and Atherling on board. All I have left to block is a Elvish Mystic, He swings with both Lifebane and Atherling and Pumps Atherling to 8. Thing is that he forgot to make it Unblockable, so I blocked it with my Elvish Mystic and he just lets it die, he didn't bother making it's toughness stronger or Flickering it, he just let it die and I swung for game on the next turn.

Legacy is definitely more fun to play in.

I went 1-4 drop in the legacy open in Dallas playing Manaless Dredge and it was much more fun than the day before when I went 7-4 in the Standard Open.
Legacy is a lot more thought intensive than you would expect. I think if you become really good in legacy you will be able to do well in any format.

I think as the season goes on, the red deck will go in bigger like during the old ISD/RTR days with Stormbreath/Sarkhan/Ashcloud and the Mono B deck should really be running at least 3 Mogis' Maurader to get through. It might go a bit bigger with Grey Merchants or something, too. I dunno.

Yeah. I went from 9-2 to 9-6. I was mentally exhausted and couldn't concentrate on my matches. Like I lost to mono red when I was on Jeskai.

Other than that Efro came up to me when I got my 9th win abd started complementing me on my play. I was blown away.

Yeah, I was to mentally exhausted after going 9-2, my brain started farting a lot. I lost a match up I should have easily won (Mono Red). But Here is a full run down on what happened in my run.

Round 1: Abzan Reanimator, Game 1 got him down to 3 life and cast Dig to find the last burn spell, I completely whiffed and didn't top deck the burn. Game 2, I just completely overrun him with Rider and Goblins. Game 3 got him down to 3 again and completely whiffed with Dig again and top decked a Magma Jet.

Round 2: GR Monsters easily won 2-1. Lost Game 2 because I mulled to 5 and was stuck on one land.

Round 3: RW Tokens lost 2-1, Jeskai has a really hard time dealing with Brimaz.

Round 4: Mardu, Won 2-1. This match was really weird because my opponent wasn't running any Butchers and was running like 28 land. But most interesting thing that happened to me was that I had three Goblins out and I cast Mantis Rider and he declares "In response to you casting Mantis Rider, Cackling Doom you", I was like... "Uhh Wtf???" but yeah...

Round 5 Abzan Midrange Won 2-0, My opponent had really slow hand starts while I had really fast Rider/Outburst starts.

Round 6 Mono Red Won 2-0, Jeskai Charm's life link abilities is what easily won the match for me, plus a unchecked Seeker.

Round 7 Abzan Aggro Won 2-0, Crazy fast start by me with Burn spells that took care of all his threats.

Round 8 Jeskai Tempo Won 2-1 Basically came down to who ever got the faster start and didn't stumble on lands which luckily was me this time.

Round 9 G/B Constellation Won 2-1, In what I personally think is one of my worst match ups. Came down to literally me top decking an Erase before he could stabalize with a Hornet Queen in his grave yard.

Round 10 Jeskai Ascendancy Combo Won 2-0, His pain lands really helped me get him down quick enough and in game two, I had the Negate for his Helix when he tried to go off.

Round 11 B/W Heroic Won 2-1, He stumbled on his mana in both games that I won so none of his guys were sticking to the board.

Round 12 Jeskai Control/midrange this deck had main deck Brimaz and I think Sphinx? I lost horrible 2-0 which this is when I started to go on the decline.

Round 13 Mono Red lost 1-2 came down to him have double stoke in hand both times in the games that I lost which I honestly did not see coming. Also my opponent was Chinese and even though there was a language barrier he was really cool to talk to and learn a lot about the asian gp scene.

Round 14/15 lost to two Abzan Decks 2-0 that had nutty Rhino into Sorin draws both games.

From what I understand Planar Guide's ability is on the stack so it will still go off no matter what. They'll come back at the end of turn. It's just when everything comes back is when it gets messy as fuck.

Oh JK Opalascence never leaves the Battlefield. So Humality is the newest "Effect" on the field. So Day of the Dragons and Confusion enter the battlefield as 1/1 with no abilities because of static abilities.

Yeah, right now Eternal formats are stupid expensive. Though my desire to play magic is getting lower and lower each week, between local people being attrocious to play with and other card games stealing my attention.
