I mean, my Face nom was obviously a joke I intended to make on Face Day and forgot to, and I do agree there is too much fluff here, but how can you lock it when an actual suggestion is present?

Actually, it was nominated, but never ratified. It has been renominated, yes, but it was never rejected.

As for my posts, yes I do. I don't claim to be above the issue. However, I am making a noted effort to keep my posts to a minimum, but I don't see the issue with occasional jokes and a lot of my posts are to better understand nominations.

So yes, I post here too much, but I am working on it.

Eh, 4 months is a really long time. While I do not disagree that there's been a lot of shitposting and shitnoms in the last 3 months, that's always seemed to happen? I think the thread used to be left alone more often because there was a much different atmosphere before, but I can't think of a fairy thread that didn't have periods of shitposting in it except maybe the first? Can you? I don't think really think that having the thread closed for a time is going to solve that problem entirely. Especially since temporary forum bans haven't even really done that other than have the specific posters out for a while. However once there aren't any active noms, if, as the mod of this particular forum, Chev decides to temporarily close the thread for an unspecified period of time in the hopes that better noms can be more common than what is now, that's his choice and I support him in his right to do so.

4 months was an arbitrary number. If that's the first complaint, then ultimately you know I'm right and you're quibbling over details.

And yes, all title fairy threads have had shitposting. God knows I've made my fair share of joke noms and cheeky suggestions. But this thread has been painfully bad for a long time and it doesn't appear that it's going to stop on it's own. Many individual people have tried making a general point of inactivity fosters creativity, but the shitposters just don't get it. It's like they post to entertain themselves instead of sharing something interesting to others.

This thread is like watching someone who is sleep deprived and hopped up on caffeine trying to be creative. "uh..
