I wonder what the record is for most replacements in a Newbie game is. This makes 8 for Newbie 1555 and 7 for Newbie 1556. Well, that's probably not close to the record, but it's still too many...

No, you may not. When you are in your *first* newbie game, you may not play in another Newbie game until you are finished (i.e., the game is over or you are dead) with the first one.

right now if "/in for replacement" is considered a valid approach to getting into your first game...
While you are certainly free to replace into a Newbie game for your first game, posting '/in for replacement' is not the way to do it. Newbie game mods will post here when they are publicly looking for a replacement, and any players wanting to replace in should contact that mod via PM.

I nearly made the same mistake, but if you check, you will see Draynth has already completed a game outside of the Newbie queue.
That means he has one Newbie game and one non-Newbie game finished... which means he's neither eligible for a Newbie /in (third game), nor an SE /in (second game not finished), so therefore, his only option is to replace into a Newbie game until he finishes his current game.
(As a side note, he's not asking about other queues - he's already been in one and likely knows he can do so again.)

Stealing sheila_sazs and Laima to replace BrasilianAnjel 86 and odin in Newbie 1637/Newbie 1638 (all respectively), whom never picked up their Role PMs.
I need a Newbie replacement for BrasilianAnjel 86/sheila_sazs in Newbie 1637 (Day 1, 3 pages). While it is technically a fresh slot, the game has been running for long enough that a voluntary replacement is more appropriate.
