Agreed, but people on OCE don't get banned for that crap, legitmately the word downie gets used quite often, and very rarely does it lead to a ban (i know someone who uses the word and hasn't even recieved a ban yet.)

Complaining about being banned is silly and the people in the discussion thread you linked already explained why. "There are people who do worse things that aren't punished so I shouldn't get punished for doing a bad thing" is a silly argument.
If we replace the words in the sentence, we can demonstrate this clearly: "There are people who sell drugs and commit murder that haven't been arrested, so I shouldn't get arrested for stealing."

I have been in B1 for ages now and am winning about 50% of my games so I can't quite break to Silver.

2nd game is swain inting.

No. But it's not unconvincing because "everyone does it" is false (although I think that's highly suspect; people say that about NA as well when they're banned).
