the ability to attack the armor as its own entity is what is bad about that. Maybe if you had a huge deflection bonus and DEX to help?

Are artificers allowed to use infusions from Races of Eberron?

hmmm after a brief scan I can confirm that these are infusions that I haven't seen before

which means I have never played with these infusions

The only possibly OP ones (the only ones worth using) are Construct Essence, Construct Essence Lesser, and Unseen Crafter.
The former two are buffs which only work on warforged, the latter allows you to craft while adventuring.

Edit: Unseen Crafter functions like Unseen Servant, which disappears if you go out of range. So craft while sleeping, but not adventuring.

uhh I don't think you can use unseen crafter to work on magic items, since it just uses Craft skill
