I beat the elite four. Half my mons died but I pulled though. First main game Nuzlocke where I didn't reset cause my Mon died.

Pokemon refresh is OP. If you wanna challenge, don't use it.

I managed to keep everyone alive after this for a while (the entirety of Ula'ula) and was hoping I could keep those six together for the League, but then

At least the Pokemon that evolved off this battle

using a z-move on me was unexpected- was an ohko- I'm not even sure what I could've done to prevent that death- we both were at level 15

It was mostly the teacher's Magnemite

At that point in the game, it was very unlikely that you had captured a mon which even had any regularly effective moves against it (with Steel/Electric being one of the most resistant typing combinations) unless you'd picked Litten, so you were kinda left stranded against it.

Did you guys really have a problem with the School? I breezed through it with Litten and whatever garbagemons i picked up along the way. I don't think I even had to go to a Pokemon past Litten.

so I wasn't expecting much going into the champ battle but my last two alive were actually getting it done

No jokes, not Nuzlocking but the School is literally the only place I've had all my Pokémon faint in the whole game, and it was that damned Magnemite.
