That innocent child card though seems kinda cruel. Become confirmed town, but suicide the same day regardless.

no, only if the duplicate card is the trump card would that happen, if I am understanding it correctly - otherwise only the related power to the trump card is active

so if trump is 2-spades - then only innocent child is revealed, no suicide is active

if 8-hearts is the trump - then only suicide is active

reading the rules should be required and any reference to not (even non-direct things like "how many scum are there?" when it says in the rules how many scum there are) should be followed by a PM from the mod saying "read the rules or I will replace you" IMO

Part of the rules are the mechanics. The rules about how the game operates as far as the trump cards, draft selection, how the powers come into play, and how many mafia/town there are - if you don't care to even begin to understand that stuff, then to me you have no actual interest in this specific game and should /out. Not understanding that stuff will prove a hinderance, especially to probably a large majority of the players who have read and do understand. It's like a bunch of adults playing a game and a kid come along and just wants to roll the dice and move the cool looking figure around the board not knowing what any of it means, and someone else has to be like "well now that you did that, this happens..."

Quipla - can you bid twice for the same card? so if for example you go first in the draft and want 10clubs 10clubs 10 diamonds, you get both 10 clubs? or anywhere in the draft and you want to try and get both of the same card? I did look through the rules again and didn't think I saw this addressed.

yeah it'll be pretty cool, I think the strategizing is what makes the balance okay, 5 v 18 is heavy town otherwise, but coordination the cards with scum will be crucial

Didn't really get the whole drafting process. But I'll adapt.

everyone sends in a whole number

duplicates get bumped behind the single-picks

triplicates get bumped behind the duplicates

etc.

lowest single-picked number picks first, down the line

any duplicates and a dice is rolled to see who gets priority in the duplicate

once it's your turn in the draft, pick 3 cards you want

Just to head off silliness... I suggest you add "at least 1" to the description of what draft numbers are allowed.
