Trainer School was bizarrely hard.

It was mostly the teacher's Magnemite

At that point in the game, it was very unlikely that you had captured a mon which even had any regularly effective moves against it (with Steel/Electric being one of the most resistant typing combinations) unless you'd picked Litten, so you were kinda left stranded against it.

Yeah I picked Litten, which let me wreck through it.

The last kid's grimer was what fucked me. Stab Bite is really strong at that point in the game.

Also, let me just say: Having a huge probability of getting cottonee early in the game is absolutely bonkers.

In PC: Grubbin, Miltank, Eevee, the weird 3 headed mushroom thing from lake trial which i just completed.

the school of fish (wishiwashi) was really neat tho

so i need opnion here-

I have tm's for both screen moves (light screen + reflect), and i managed to get a light clay off a mudbray with thief. Should i make my magnetmite a dual screens pokemon and have just the two slots open for STAB attacks? i lose sonicboom and Thunder wave at this time if i were to do that- both useful in capturing pokemon.

Depends on what you want to use it for
You probably have oyhers pokemon you can use to catch mons

bulk is decent, typing is nice, i was thinking i could use him to set up screens, then switch in Trump to do Z-workup (basically a swords dance) then sweep from there

teacher's magnemite almost ended my run lol

So many deaths. Cleared the second grand trial, assumed the kahuna would be around 2 levels above the last wild pokemon area. Nope, 5 levels. Lost two Pokemon to the kahuna, only won thanks to Milk Drink
