Anyways, unless site meta really DID change while I was gone, it was pretty standard to run through the player list in the scum QT/PT and decide who was vulnerable. Meaning hypothetical scum-pine would have at least a passing knowledge of who was in or not in the game. It's no cop clear; but it's better than one can usually hope for out of a first post joke to exit RVS.

Okay I'm going to walk Titus (and others wondering about my Lapsa read) through the logic here. I'm inserting what I'd be thinking/doing in his shoes:

Assume on of the four possibilities are true:

A: Lapsa is town and took my claim at face value
B: Lapsa is town and did not believe my claim
C: Lapsa is scum and took my claim at face value
D: Lapsa is scum and recognized it as fake immediately

In case (A): Lapsa took my claim at face value but had reason to doubt it. He immediately presses me on the finer details of it when I retract; thinking it was scum-motivated. (For example, I could be scum with a worthless role who wanted to try and draw out a counter claim and out real masons)

In case (B): Lapsa recognized my claim as an obvious falsehood but let the situation with pine play out first. He then continued to press me over it, with similar reasoning as above.

In case (C): Lapsa is scum and took my claim as a genuine mason claim. He then for some reason decised to immediately vote me anyways and press me hard on that claim; instead of celebrating that an idiot just outed a major town PR.

In case (D): Lapsa realized i'm fake claiming but immediately presses me on it instead of letting it foster on the hopes that an actual town mason pair counter-claims me; therefore killing the chance of scum getting a free out.

I find C and D to not make nearly as mkuch sense as A or B; hence the townread.

I have a couple min, so I'll respond here. Can't read it all, and Sonia, I think your post deserves a longer look than I have atm, but I'll do it when I get a chance in a few hours or so.

Cabd: pretty much, yes. I see Titus as a strong player, so her using really bad theories, constantly repeating this 'liar!' theme, her jumping back and forth to whomever seems like an easy target, and generally refusing to even think about whether or not these players she calls scum may be town (which would derail her entire theory and 'scum hunting' efforts) just looks so bad that it must be from scum. That's my belief. It's day 1 and she's railroading 4 specific players into a scum team she fabricated without any reasoning, and the real aspect of it is that maybe 2 players get subbed in or out solely based on me being scum. So when I flip town, everything she's done in the game becomes useless. That doesn't look like a townie truly trying to sort anyone. I just don't see it.

Okay so.. what if I told you that titus is known for making absolutely no sense whatsoever from the outside perspective; as town? Like... is so well known for it around here that she has a custom moderator-granted user title honoring that fact? I know it's not "ideal town play" as you and I see it, but play this game is internally consistent with Titus logic. Because given that I'm a oneshot; there's already three "misleading" results: The "has a gun" on the vanilla cop; the "has a gun" on the town vig (or the "does not have a gun" on the third party SK with a knife) and the "does not have a gun" on the mafia traitor.
