Grr, there are some people who don't like game theory 101 lectures, but if you're going to insist then I'll oblige.

Situation matters, a lot. Suppose you have a game with very few PRs. If there is someone who town is clearly better off without, then you go ahead and risk hitting town. If you have a highly likely scum read you take the shot at them. But you don't screw town over by shooting someone you think is town. And you don't take a wild shot if you don't really have any strong reads.

This game is a lot more like role madness. It's actively bad for town to take a vig or venge shot unless you're really sure it benefits town. You have a

100% chance of hitting a PR

in this game. (*) Well, it's more like a n-shot random phase JOAT, but still everyone is a PR of some sort...

I do not think we should assume anything about Jackel's shot, and I'm going to take a very dim view of anyone trying to push that angle.

If you go back and reread Jackel's final moments, do get the impression he wasn't going to shoot? Everything suggests that he intended to. Obviously we can't know for sure whether that's the case, but there is a lot to glean from that conversation.

Giga's claim: Doc should 100% protect. Card makes zero sense for scum to pick. For town it's a silly pick but at least I can see the logic behind it.

She also gets pushed as a distraction when I get a good wagon going.

Maria's wagon peaked at four votes yesterday. It was at three while you were still pushing Jackel's wagon. If it was a distraction while you pushed your "good wagons" then it was also a distraction while you were pushing a mislynch. Your theory holds no merit.

Happy with my vote even with Maria's claim. Those cards could easily be scum picks.

Fish, what is your read on Kison?

My read for most of the game has been probtown, based on Kison actually doing some scumhunting. But actually that read might be a bit crap; because of the nature of this game (low content per post), I'm probably setting a rather low bar. If I was scum, I'd have little problem looking like I was doing at least as much as Kison is. I've rather lazily failed to follow up on something someone (you?) said, which is that Kison is providing justification for voting the leading wagon, then hopping on. I need to do that; Kison might be pretty hard to ready either way without stepping back and looking at voting patterns.

the ic card is actually really good and I'm surprised not more people picked it. a pretty high chance to be confirmed as town and when you would commit suicide (a relatively much lower chance) you are almost certainly healed? sign me up.

At any rate: Maria is claiming to have picked the JACK OF HEARTS. Since Rb died with one as well, this could easily be proven as a lie if its the case. If someone else has that J-hearts they should out it.

At any rate, picking that cop doesnt mean she cannot be mafia ofcourse, but if we can find out if she's lying itd be the definitive final nail.

Dont worry Dunn, I know who the rigger is and im fairly sure he's town. If he wants to claim publicly or not thats upto him.

Scum giving up a carddraw card AND their factional kill for an entire kill cycle just to have people holding the 2-H die (while at least one of them could most likely still be doc-saved) makes very little sense.
