mastina, what do you think about my claim to have the growing ability to almost soul-read pine? having only played a few games with him at this point, too, and that is not a claim I make lightly or am able to make often, but it is something I recognize and something that does exist in me for a few people - it surprised me when I got the feeling from him at such an early exposure

It's quite simple what we do with mastin. We wait for her to get Night Killed.

It's pretty much self evident at this point that if Mastin is actually town, she'll be the strongest voice to listen to and the scum team will have to kill her early to gain an advantage.

If town, scum have to balance "do we keep her alive to frame her off of this" or "just kill immediately to not deal with it?" situation that I actually think is worth the stress to push.

If scum, well you'll eventually crack but at this point I'm leaning the former over the latter.

Actually not exactly wrong--there's the risk of suffering from burnout this game if I'm not careful about how I handle it.

But the real secret to my bursts of activity is selective lurking.
Selective lurking allows me to clear my mind and formulate thoughts faster and better than I otherwise would.

As scum, it keeps me from getting in trouble.
As town, it keeps me from causing trouble to the town.

It's basically a way of stepping back and recognizing there's a time to be active and a time to be inactive, a time where me being in the spotlight is good, and a time where me being in the spotlight is detrimental. @prism - I wouldn't say you were lackluster at all, yes, you didn't give it your all, but even when you weren't giving it your all you were doing better than most players do on their best days out of a dozen games. It's not a matter of having seen your scum game, it's a matter of seeing your potential (or a glimpse of it.) Now, sometimes people's town games waayyyy exceed their scum game, they get into a scum role early in their career and it throws them, and only time will tell for you for certain, I don't know what you are here, but I do know that if I'm wrong on mastina, you're my next top suspect after fate because of what I've seen here and me positing that to the general public is crucial regardless of anything else. As it is, you're townlean because of the associative with mastina only, otherwise so far you'd be null.

my D1 is pretty poop after about 8 real-time days (on a consistent basis), and I usually like a secured lynch before that

at this point I'm just waiting it out so I can pick back up my game on D2, and I become a larger asset later-game, imo
