arkham city was a fucking gold mine for characters:

- alfred was ogml's first game and he was a spec fave and finished 3rd
- the whole star sapphire drama
- freeze v batwoman ftc
- abe's leak
- poison ivy
- krypto's dank memes
- hatter's villain ghost play

arkham was seriously good

i dont think eon was really that good as far as establishing characters go but it had strong play. depends on how it's judged

i havent read much on GOT so idk about that

It's literally only the fact that it's the first round. Take that away and it's a perfectly normal thing - person finds an idol and doesn't use it, being sent home. That fact alone does not deserve 200+ extra spots.

It wasn't just that.

It was her bold confidence that she had the tribe under her thumb.

It was her posts going THANK YOU REST OF MY TRIBE FOR BEING AWFUL.

It was her arrogance and sheer blind faith in her ability that harshly contrasted against being the first boot.

It was an entire season's worth of a villain arc packed into one episode.

my suggestion is just take the remaining characters and do a SUPP style google form that people fill out to get our Top 100, then continue the cuts from there

267 - Rex (Cheery Dog) - Arkham City

Poor Rex. He was second dog in a double dog game! Really, though, Rex didn't do anything terribly egregiously wrong, but he didn't do anything particularly right either. He was booted out during the first tribe swap simply because there just wasn't much there in terms of connections to other people. He reached out to Clock King for an under"dog" alliance (see what I did there?) and promptly, Clock King was booted, followed by Rex after failing to get a vote going on Ivy. When it came down to it, he just didn't make enough of an impact to survive. He did okay once he arrived in Death Row, surviving by turning on Clock King, but eventually fell victim to the power duo of Abe and Star.

All in all, not a terribly boring performance -- most of those are gone already -- but it also wasn't terribly enthralling or engaging, either. Had he survived a bit further in Death Row, maybe it could've been a good comeback story. As it is, though, it's just not enough to last another round in the rankdown.

265. Turtwig (Extrapolated Eagle) - Eon

so this hadn't been cut yet? He went out super early. He was sweet and all and had a charm in his confessional. Tried to make a big play at the first TC, which is admirable, but it went South for him and that was that.

Okay, both Shakira and Turtwig hadn't been cut because they actually had character. Gameplay wasn't great which is why the went out early, but as entertainment and character they were great in their own rights which is why they were still around. Shakira was a huge fucking mess and sent some of the weirdest PMs on the entire planet after not speaking to people for days at a time. There was one exchange where she hadn't spoken to me in 3 days and her first PM to me was asking me how I felt about anime involving lesbian necrophilia. And then Turtwig was absolutely adorable and sweet but he tried to pull a huge move in his first TC or something and that's why he went out, because he decided not to just let the early TC be boring. He had a whole lot of really ridiculous ideas of things he wanted to pull, which never were going to work and were definitely going to get him voted out. Which you would know, had you read or talked to other people before just cutting based on placement and past memory. As I've said a few places, I'm having computer problems and it's taking a lot longer to get it fixed than I had thought it would. I've had to use my backup computer and tablet so MS barely functions. Please don't just go back to not saying shit about people left just because you want to get things done, the people left all have character arcs and things to write about and talk about. Can we please still do that?

262. Red Arrow (Drench) - Arkham City]

HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BE GAY WHEN I CAN'T EVEN TALK ABOUT TAJINDERES

This is the summation of Red Arrow. Drench is always entertaining as hell, but he had very little impact on the gameplay here. His confessional is essentially just a lot of memes, word filters, and gayness without much game talk. He was on the verge of being eliminated when his tribe went to TC, but there was luckily always one more person who could keep him alive because they were just slightly worse off. But as his tribe kept losing and he kept failing to connect, the easier targets were picked off or quit, leaving Red to eventually just fall unceremoniously to the more active and social players on his tribe. While Drench is always entertaining, this character was decidedly not.

260. Ekans (Snakes) - Sky Pillar

Ekans had big plans, man. Big plans. He was part of a super sneaky plan to take out Croagunk early on, which threw some people's plans for a loop. He played hard and fast and made it to merge, which was obviously impressive in and of itself. His confessional is filled with very spot-on analysis of the game and the various alliances and interwoven threads. Really, this looked like a typical Snakes game... so, what went wrong, and why is it being cut? Well, first off, there's something to be said for these sort of "game-bot" style characters that are very analytical and calculated, but they rarely make for good, engaging characters. He complained that he played a better game than people who made jury, and while he may have been more analytical, I feel he missed out on the social aspect a bit. He made some missteps trusting the wrong people and tried to play swing vote between the conflicting alliances, and it just didn't work. Secondly, I went back and asked a few people from Sky Pillar who they remember the most. Almost nobody could tell me anything about who Ekans was or what he did. And I think memorability should be a big factor in this rankdown.

For those reasons, I'm cutting Ekans! May he ressssssst in piece.
