How do you figure? The Jester wants to win just like everyone else. The only way for him to win is not to be voted off on day 1. If the town and mafia don't vote him off then he wins they are second.

If you do not claim Jester, you might possibly lose if we lynch you on day one or the mafia nightkill you, or some vigilante might nightkill you that causes an automatic loss FOR YOU. I can not stress this point enough, if a mafia dies, he can still win, if a townie dies, he can still win, IF YOU DIE, YOU LOSE.

The rules don't say that. You might die anytime during the game but unless you are

on day one you are the winner. Plain and Simple. I would take a 1/21 odds not to get lynched any time.

Town won't lynch you, this is because the TOWN IS TRYING TO WIN BY KILLING THE MAFIA. Since you are not Mafia, the town certainly won't lynch you because it doesn't get them any closer to victory, one dead jester doesn't get the town closer to victory, one dead mafia is what gets the town closer to victory.

The town (or Mafia) won't

unless the Jester gets Lynched Day 1. Why should the town or Mafia settle for second place, especially if the Jester reveals himself.

PJ cleared things up even more in #92, but GS pretends not to understand to confuse things even more. It isn't until #98 that he even admits that he could be wrong. In #106, he made a very sarcastic post that pinged my scumdar like an asteroid.

You know the really sad part is that we're spending an inordinate amount of time on the Jester when we really need to be looking for scum. Currently, GS and BM are my favorites for lynch today just from the distraction they've caused from our true purpose- finding and lynching scum.

I agree that too much time is being spent on the Jester and not scum hunting. If you look at the total amount posts in this game I don't have as many as most of the others here do, so I hardly think I am a distraction.

I'm about halfway through rereading the thread.

GS, I have a few questions if you care to answer.
Who do you think is scummy and why?
Who do you think could be the jester?
Do you honestly believe mith to be scum, or are you just not able to drop your anger and frustration on him from the beginning of the game?

Let's take these past 18 pages and think back thru them.

Why am I being voted so much? Well because I verbally doubted the plan for the Jester to claim his role on Day 1 so the Town could protect him. I honestly believed they were talking crap and like Mafia. I didn't know they had formulated a "plan".

Does that really show that I am scum? Well maybe I am 'scummy' for doing that but that does not make me a member of the Mafia. It does show that I must be ignorant to miss the plan, oh, wait...but I wasn't at Thespival. I didn't know a plan was hatched.

Why weren't you at Thespival? For starters I didn't even know what Thespival was before I came here at I didn't even come here till January 3rd 2008, a little over a month ago.

Does that excuse my behavior? No it doesn't but it also doesn't warrant my lynching at this time, unless you are playing for the Mafia.
