Yeah in theory sure but in practice I'm horrifically irresponsible (I ran a mafia game into abandonment once in 2014 due to vc error), erratic in activity, and have no experience or skills with zetaboards. And Aussie so I can't even do stuff when it needs to be done.

99% of the reason Radj and I have had problems with chocolate is 'how does make zetaboards do' I think. I know the Large Social Game Mods(tm) are planning to make a Zetaboards for Dummies guide.

I would totally play Inconvenience Survivor, everyone knows I'm awake at every hour on Survivor anyways

Zetaboards has plenty of decent documentation for "how to make a forum" and "how to make it green" but there is a lot of stuff we need to do that is weird and not normal for discussion boards.

Is there a better alternative? If and when we get alt-masking up some games could theoretically be run on site, but mostly mods seem to need the customizability.

That said, a good way to learn zetaboards is to mod with people who know it a few times and figure it out.

Yeah I know most orgs are run on like wikia with pming done by gmail or Facebook. Zetaboards is so preferable to that.

The only big issue with on-site games is for it to be anonymous that I can't think of a way to make nice and manageable right now is we'd have to give people alt accounts for the game. The rest of things are probably pretty possible to make happen.

I mean the goal is to reduce the burden of setting up forums, ideally. But there's no reason why zetaboards have to be used if a moderator can set up their own system.

Only the admins can see private topics they aren't in, and I can easily set it up to block mods either generally or on an individual basis if one is playing.

The main problem for me doing a game on site would be my 2000 pm inbox being full by the merge. >.> And also them not being all in one spot, the best parts of zetaboards.

The biggest obstacle is anonymity, but PM space is definitely an issue. The best games suited for the site are probably non-anonymous games as PMs aren't used as much for that (correct me if I'm wrong), we don't have anonymity problems with alts and such, etc.

The problem is that forum creation would almost entirely rest on my head. And I'm willing to work with a mod for a yearly non-anonymous game to set that sort of stuff up, but I'm unlikely to want to do that much work on a regular basis for a game I'm not running.

P-Edit: PMs in non-anons are still important for time zone things, but in practice since people are allowed to talk through Skype or Sitechat or any other medium of their choice you are right.

Ppl can see past games but some are hard or impossible (example, dbz was only unlocked after I told cc to tell xif to do it, botb is not linked in thread or wiki so I googled the direct link, magic kingdom doesn't exist). I would fully support better archivisation for those.
