For large social games such as Survivor where the primary mechanic is social interaction.

For the moderators, it feels a bit sad that they don't get ELO points for their efforts. If they're called upon to moderate numerous games in arow, they may be labeled inactive.

It's caculated using static, similar to a chess/go tournament. Ratings don't change until after you have the performance of one full event.

You can do what tennis does and make ratings drop off after a year.
