football contracts have much less gauranteed money in them if I recall correctly

Before FA, I would have expected drafting a WR early. But now, I'm guessing CB in the first round, and RB/OL in 2/3 maybe stocking up on a second DB in later rounds. And probably look for a DT to replace Benny Logan later on as well.
I think it really depends on what they see in this and next year's draft class. Also depends of Jimmy G is willing to take a discount as Brady did. But if he's still playing as backup it'd have to be a hell of a discount.
I think they're hoping for either a draft day run up, or something Bradfordish happening to skyrocket his value. Either way I think Romo has to resolve, and maybe teams courting McCarron

I don't either, but I think the logic is that it's the only way they can both remain undisputed GOATs forever and ever.
If he succeeds without Tom, then it was the system and not Brady
If he doesn't, then he was riding the GOATs coattails
Welp looks like the Raiders aren't going to last very long
Brady's (and others') hometown discount is the major crux of the Pats dynasty
Paying your QB that much means lots of people aren't getting paid
Hey, Marcus Smith got cut, in case anyone forgot he was still playing. And Nelson would be out if not for the lost cash, though he still might leave. Good going dropping two relatively recent first round picks in the same off season. Great drafting there.
at least one of Miami or Buffalo has to miss the playoffs after a heartbreaking end of season loss to a team they were supposed to beat. So I'd say they beat whoever in division they play last that isn't the Pats
I think Reid and McNabb were about equal in their ability. Both somewhat above average. Neither could pull it out when it mattered, but I'd say their inability to win a championship with their better squads was much more on Reid than McNabb

interception on first play. interception on extra point to tie the game. sacked on last drive of the game that could have won it all.
this isnt putting into effect the terrible two previous games.
i recognize im being hard on the guy but im just so pissed from those firdt 2 games that the anger wont dissipate for a while. the extra point interception and last drive was also really frustrating to see.
yeah don't blame the kicker that missed the extra point or anything
def qb's fault for not converting the 2 pointer and getting sacked on 4 and 20 after the ref's took away an obv first down on 3 and 10
I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the first year of Kelly. Moving the game so fast they couldn't even show replays and all the ridiculous pictures on the side of the field for play calling were great.
After the league realized he was just running the same two plays over and over, Nick Foles voodoo curse that prevented DBs from catching all of his surefire interceptions, and the shipping out of most of the Eagles talent the following season just didn't really make it all worth it. But it was fun while it lasted.
It's so weird for me because growing up no one was a Pats fan. Pats fans literally did not exist to my childhood. The team was just known for having a crappy looking logo
All the bandwagoners were mostly Dallas since they were winning all the time, or Raiders because of their team colors.

I mean...I root for the
Mets
Eagles, Sixers, Flyers.
If not for the Phillies of the 00's, I'd have never experienced a title in my lifetime, and I'm from a 4 sport town

prostitution isn't legal in Vegas anyway
and yeah, the gambling arguments are decades out of touch
I think it's mostly because Vegas is a tourist town. A lot like Orlando
And the local population there is, for the most part, transplants from other states/countries so there is less of a 'city pride' that people think is required to support a sports franchise. The worry here is that you end up with something like a Charger effect where home games turn into road games as fans come into the tourist town an attend games in larger numbers than the home team. That's kind of why the Raiders are one of the few teams that makes any sense in Vegas as they have a broad geographical distribution already due to their bad boy persona and team colors that people without a team tend to support.
Eagles of recent years tend to start the season a lot better than they finish
I think their coaching staff just isn't very good at adjusting over the course of the year after other teams figure out what theyre doing
I'm actually quite surprised about the Giants. But I guess I should have just been surprised that they managed to do so well last year. If you're lucky you'll have a new head coach and draft a highly regarded QB (or sell off your pick for a buttload)
p happy with the Iggles
If not for that boneheaded roughing the passer and some really borderline PI calls Carolina isn't even in that game. Of course they were gifted an interception. But either way, not used to seeing them play so well. The D line brought be back to the Buddy Ryan years.
