be in the same hiding place as his victim if he doesn't want to be confirmed as not-good. And the bad ghost will never let us confirm him as not-good, so in the end it'll be one visitor plus two ghosts, and according to your plan no one will be able to say anything about either one. Figuring out the visitors are not-good means absolutely nothing, since in the end the survivor would only have to choose between the ghosts anyway.

Ok. I haven't considered that the bad ghost would want to avoid killing someone from the same hiding place as himself. Does that make it a better strategy for the visitors to hide secretly? I still think that the visitors are better off working together to learn as much as possible, especially on the first few turns when we have no clue about who the ghosts might be.
JDGA, what do think is the best strategy for the visitors to follow to give the best chance for a visitor to escape?
A few things: Make sure you PM me your hiding places! I counted any that were just bolded and posted in the thread for this round, but next round I'll treat you as a non-submitter. Speaking of which: anyone who didn't submit had their hiding location randomized.
You all scramble into a hiding place. You might be screaming, but no one can hear it over the strong WHOOSH of the wind.

You're shaking. Your teeth clatter. The wind still rushes. The ghost is out there, and he'll find one of you!
The Bad Ghost now has 24 hours to PM me their choice to kill. Who's it gonna be?

The wind rushes, fast and furious. You can hear vases being stirred up from the tables and crashing into the walls, smashing into a million little pieces. The wind is almost unbearable, like a howling freight train inside your head.
Then . . . all is quiet. You nervously emerge from your hiding spot. Despite the disarray, everything seems to be calm.
People emerge from the coat closet. They were packed like sardines in there! Except one little sardine is now dead.

's corpse plops out of the closet. It looks like he was spooked to death!
Wanting to escape the trauma you push open a door and clamber in. This seems to be the dining hall, beautifully set for a party of ten. But the wind's whipping up again . . .

I don't think I'm going to feel safe in any of these places

Well, I'm saying cleared, but I really mean "cleared of being good ghost". So that'll never happen, since they can't clear the actual good ghost. (And if they somehow did, we'd be the ones screwed)

Did you know that you're supposed to hide under the table during an earthquake? Well, that's where I'm going. What works against earthquakes might also work against spoopy ghosts.
if the bad ghost claims to be the good ghost i don't see a way that we can tell that he is lying. He can always kill someone everyone every turn that will not give himself away as not the good ghost. Unless he makes a mistake.
I still think that that our best strategy is to work together to eliminate as many good ghost possibilities as we can. Right now we have six candidates. We can narrow it down to three if we work together to hide in two large groups. We just have to make sure that each of the groups has three of our candidates in it.
The other strategy is to not tell in the thread where we are hiding and just hide randomly, but that seems like we are giving away all of our power to the bad ghost so that he can do whatever he wants. Someone has to die every turn, so we might as well learn as much as we can in the process. I don't see a way to increase my chances of surviving this turn so let's please work together to figure out who the good ghost is.
I'm going to hide behind the sculpture. If you want to help with the plan please divide up between the table and the sculpture with equal numbers of our ghost candidates in each place.
Or not. But if we just secretly hide randomly in any of the places there is a good chance that we will learn nothing at all. If there is a better idea to figure out who is who I would love to hear it.
Having the good ghost claim seems like a really good start. If he won't do that, well, we might as well just random all our actions as far as I can tell.
When only one of us is winning, I'm not seeing the point in any claims.
Setup speculation and trying to break games like this are why i stopped playing Mafia.
If there was a rule of identify the bad and good ghosts and you can escape and win earlier, I'd actually see a point in us progressing with claims and what have you. But since it's not, I'll just continue to be scared and have no idea what is happening

I mean, theoretically the good ghost and the bad ghost can both claim ghost and then it can turn into a giant WIFOM game with hiding spots and such.
