How to deal with a frenzied berserker who lacks a will save:
Step 1: Acquire a large amount of chickens. (They cost 1 sp/chicken) Kill them all. Raise them all as skeletons. (I'm not entirely sure how necessary the raising them part is, but like you don't want one to run away)
Step 2: All partymembers carry around a Heward's Handy Haversack filled with skeletal chickens. Frenzied Berserker carries around a chicken skeleton perched on his shoulder or something.
Step 3: If Frenzied Berserker gets damaged without an enemy nearby, he attacks the nearest creature (The chicken skeleton he's carrying)
Step 4: When FB is frenzying with no enemies nearby, all partymembers take out a chicken skeleton, drop it, then move away from the frenzied berserker. Frenzied berserker attacks the nearest creature, which is a chicken skeleton. There are no party members within range and he can't attack in the middle of a charge, so he doesn't attack the party.
Step 5: Repeat step 4 as needed, all partymembers make sure to keep a chicken skeleton in between them and the frenzied berserker.

Hi! I haven't built a character yet but there's talk of me joining.

My rough idea right now is to go with a Beguiler. Someone with a rough background, who dreamed of marrying into money and does genuinely have a kind of sappy fairytale way of looking at it, who honed the enchantment magic that was one of the only things she was good at with that goal in mind and kind of graaaaaaaaadually realized as she got deeper into it that charming people into loving you is Not Okay. Kind of Merope from Harry Potter, without actually going forward with it?

I'm kind of rusty on this--I've never played 3.5 or been in a campaign that's made it past, like, level 4. So, uh, we'll see how this goes!

In his early childhood, Einar's best friend was always his sister Chelsea, two years older but still close enough in age to be peers. At the young age of 11 Einar's older sister grew sick and passed away. Einar also caught the infection, but unlike his older sister was strong enough to make it through and returned to full health. He never really felt the same about his life though, and grew to resent his family, at some subconscious level blaming them and himself for allowing his sister to die. Eventually at the age of 15 he stole some food and his bow and left his house in the night, never to return.

He possessed little in the way of survival skills and was forced to learn them on his own. He frequently went hungry or was cold in the early days when he hadn't hunted or gathered enough food to eat, but when thing were at their worst he went to the roads and was often given or able to trade for food by camps of travellers. He came to revere the road and its people as sacred; his home away from home where he could travel ever onward, bonded to all others who walked with him by the spirit of adventure which they all shared.

While wandering the world with no particular sense of purpose but no particular motivation to find one, he met Serene. Immediately taken by her similar views on life and adventuring, they travelled together for a while before the road took them to Barrelsford, and she convinced him to actually enter a city for the first time in over two years of solitude. While in the city, they found that they were too short on money to do anything there, so they sought mercenary work and it was provided...

Spoiler: Personality

Einar loves to play himself up as a mysterious dark figure. With a flair for the dramatic and characteristic teenaged self-absorption, Einar has viewed himself as a tragic figure ever since he ran away from home. While superficially charming he is not a super huge fan of social interaction and prefers the sparse comforts and quiet of forests and the open road. He sees himself as a trailblazer and a pioneer of new frontiers, and the image frequently enters his mind of himself, and now Serene beside him, walking into the dark of untamed, untravelled lands.

Behind the persona that he tries to present, and never in front of most people, Einar is gentle and kind-hearted. Still suffering from the pain that he will never admit of being away from his family, he is always afraid to feel that pain again and is fiercely protective of those close to him. He feels very attached to Serene abut is very loath to admit it, even to himself.

Session 0 summary:
Nuala and Grimwire met Selene, who was selling sweetrolls. Ainar was also there but was busy cooking and didn't talk much. Nuala asks Selene about her brothers, Selene tells Nuala that she met Tex and Karl. Selene tells Nuala and Grimwire about the bandits attacking merchants, Nuala and Grimwire claim to also be there to stop the bandits and agree to team up.

Apparently, we're gonna get +1000G when we slay the owlbear. So the suggested plan is to invest in full plate armor (I think Brian will be the only one in the party who can wear it. lol rip squishy party)
and invest the 1000G we'll get from owlbear thing to buy the wand of CLW if it becomes available.
