Paladins cast divine spells not arcane
Also building stats around the half-Orc penalties was such a pain u don't understand u human
But yo prcs always looked cool but I'm always too scared to multiclassi no longer strictly go by they/them and honestly prefer she/her but they/them's fine if you're used to it i guess

No no, it just needs to be able to cast spontaneouslyIn post 226, gigabyteTroubadour wrote:Paladins cast divine spells not arcane
so 1 level in bard or sorcerer is kind of the prerequisite
and a few levels in barbarian or paladin (I decided to go with paladin after considerations)
It will be great I'm sure- Dunnstral

Hey it's ok; I didn't take any wisdom this time either so there won't be any paladin spells at allIn post 226, gigabyteTroubadour wrote:Paladins cast divine spells not arcane- gigabyteTroubadour

Why roll a paladin while dumping wisdom when you basically become a fighter wo bonus featsIn post 230, Dunnstral wrote:In post 229, gigabyteTroubadour wrote:Then why paladin over fighter..?

Better rp gosh, just like you're a half-orc!
also having 12 charisma is needed to use level 1 spells (the dragon disciple gets a bonus to number of spells so it's something)
and the minimum I'd need is 10
So with 14 points in charisma I get:
+2 to all saving throws (more valuable than a feet though there's 2 extra points into charisma)
smite evil - pretty ok but if I'm not leveling paladin it won't scale that well
detect evil - probably really good to have
immunity to diseases - ??? probably pretty useful
a heal that ends up maxing out at 8 hp per day - OK I guess
Immune to fear (and a small aura for others to resist fear a bit)
turn undead - as if I were a level 1 cleric, probably useless? I can do it 5 times a day though
Aura of good - I don't know if this does anything good but it's THEMATICALLY cool
Spells - not getting them- Dunnstral

Turns out paladins need str con dex AND charisma and I need to keep my int at 10In post 231, gigabyteTroubadour wrote:Why roll a paladin while dumping wisdom
where does the wisdom come from???
Also the thing about the feats is I didn't really know what to take early on so I just took power attack to start anyway
Also I get to be a lawful good paladin

I see
Actually yeah I guess rolling with a level 1 sorcerer dip (don't do bard that seems dumb) it probably compensates
True strike I think doesn't fail with armor so that could be a nice buff. Cant think of anything else but I Get it now
wait do paladins use wisdom to cast spells...?i no longer strictly go by they/them and honestly prefer she/her but they/them's fine if you're used to it i guess

Ugh I'm still not done with my backstory and it's late
Also Dunn ur definitely not going to be here next week? Since if u want me in my backstory that does relieve some pressure in finishing this novella
No ragrets btw if Raia dies early she's my go-to character for rp so having a fleshed out backstory would be goodi no longer strictly go by they/them and honestly prefer she/her but they/them's fine if you're used to it i guess

Do animals like growlithe get a penalty for not having an armor proficiency? (it didn't matter in the end rip)
Also is this feat: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsterFeats.htm#multiattack
legal for a player to take? (it was listed under dragon disciple)- FakeGod

Yeah, animals don't have armor proficiency, so they suffer penalty to their attack rolls if they wear barding.
Multiattack is a legal feat for you to take.My favorite site mod is Zor Tester.

OK fire, leather has an armor penalty of 0 and so should be what you don your animal companion in (if you magically obtain gold)

Hey FG, so how are the campaign hooks working for Dunn's new character and mine? Should we stick to the same ones? idk i was just a bit confused since i figured it would be weird if a bunch of people were employed by the same person were seperated - i'm not sure how we're going to be introduced into the story basically
i did have some ideas as to how Dunn and I would work together and be in the area, but they did require some creative liberties on the hooks (i.e. almost completely ignoring them) but they WOULD work perfectly with my backstory . Obviously as the Gm it's your call and I have 0 issue working in one of the campaign hooks of you prefer that.
Just asking now since I'm basically done with my backstory and just have to tie it into the current story. (though figuring out how i'll upload it from my iPad wo wifi is going to be a pain in the ass lmao).
sorry for being so extra \_o_/i no longer strictly go by they/them and honestly prefer she/her but they/them's fine if you're used to it i guess

To clear up some stuff:
You do not provoke AoO (Attack of Opportunity) by moving into enemy's threatened area.
You provoke AoO when you move out of a square that is threatened by enemy. (which means you provoke AoO when moving away or around enemies; you also provoke AoO if you approach an enemy with a long reach)
Most creatures generally only have 1 AoO per round.
When you withdraw, the square you start out in does not count as threatened. Other than that, you can still provoke AoOs during a withdraw.
I do not allow run action in combat. Double move is the fastest you and enemies can move.My favorite site mod is Zor Tester.
