I think the best way you could have influenced the outcome here is to not vote 12 hours into lylo. The gameday lasted two weeks and if you are in a similar situation the next time, I'd recommend using most of that time to re-read the thread and just keep refining your reads. Look at how the mislynches happened and why. Engage everyone get their reads, ask questions and so on. Voting quickly in lylo is a trap that even experienced players fall into and the vast majority of the time, it ends up losing them the game. Notice how in the mafia PT the scumteam were stressing out at the possibility that the longer the day went on, the more likely it was that the tide would turn against them.

And that eager still didn't make sense. The game was really starting to click in my head, and if you let me stall it out for longer (i've been posting at work) town would have won. We literally speedlynched people for no fucking reason which just ruined town's chances of a win.

to be fair, he town read me also. And I'm pretty sure TB town read me too. Wasn't as worried about you come late game. You need to have people scum reading you as scum.

I know BV's touched on it already but I think town had two major pitfalls this game, the first and most obvious being that they lynched D1/D2/D3 way too quickly and didn't give themselves time to actually think anything through or analyse players; it's favoured scum pretty heavily and it's not all that difficult to stop quicklynching so hopefully people don't continue doing so when moving forward. The second one is the activity level during the first 48 hours of D1 was way too high, there's a sweet spot between "Too little content to enough reads" and "Too much content that people can't catch up and read it all", the sweet spot most certainly was not hit during this D1; meant that it's exceedingly difficult for players to catch up on the game or reread it in hopes of getting a new perspective, I've noticed this is a problem sitewide throughout the last year or so (And has let to games having 700+ pages which is absurd) and an increased scum win rate is pretty noticeable alongside it, people need to really stop spamming and think through the game a little more.

Thought this was very well modded, lots of page top vote counts, always planned and ready to have the game run as smooth as possible. Rather disappointing that the setup didn't get fully played in that most of the power roles and elements to the game didn't actually come out largely due to the D1 lynch.

Will leave you with some thoughts from the noobmod pregame;

First of all, well done scum. Had some early planned gambits and they worked. Flawless scum victories aren't a regularity around here so props are deserved!

Next blackvoid, awesome awesome job modding. I'll be taking off of MS for a couple of weeks but if you have a game after that I'd definitely sign up.

Now my turn to take some blame and apologize. I was a non entity this game and that wasn't fair to town so I'm sorry and I'll take some fair share of the blame for the loss.

DW I think you're being pretty hard on yourself. Everybody has good and bad games regarding their reads, but one thing you can do consistently as town is come off as townie, which I think you did a good job of.

If there was one mistake I'd like to point out is the scum gave a gift with the miller claim in a game with a town vig. Proper play is for the vig to shoot said claim N1. Not only do you take out a WIFOM target, it protects all other town power roles because you guarantee you aren't shooting them N1. Instead you shot TF who I'd argue might be the best scum hunter in this player list.

Huge mistake/turning point in the game in my opinion.

Every other game I've played with TF he was NKd N1 due to his solid reads D1. If you want to base his scumhunting abilities on one game, go for it.

I started this game wrong actually because i was way out of practice not playing for a while, my system is normally to get 33% of the game on townread first which i never did, which got me confbiased and i didn't even properly sort like 8 slots
