@Shadowez: You do realize a BG claim could be a cover for the real killer in case there was a Tracker on them or a Watcher on their target, yes? I'm not saying this must be the case, but I wouldn't put too much faith on that claim either. Just saying.

Oh definitely. I also think the "I was acting scummy so I figured I got roleblocked by town" seems to be a bit too specific of a narrative for me. The fact that farside flipped RB at the start of D1 means there's no town RB to verify whether or not that happened, which is super convenient. Normally I wouldn't risk a lynch on a claimed PR, but this doesn't work for me.

prism pretty much covered it and then some

I'll try to add some/say some in my own words for you:

their initial push on me very much felt like "oh hey this is probably an easy lynch to push with reasoning that won't make me look suspect", and most of the stances they've taken since seem overly cautious and to be "positioning themselves" rather than just "working to figure shit out", with a couple glaring inconsistencies to go along with (the inconsistencies don't come off as "I've changed my mind" but more "hmm if I'm wrong here I should work on validating an out for being wrong once flips come")

they seem totally disinterested in engaging a few slots and that is coming off as both/either "I'm just not going to go there because I can't bring myself around to a read that supports that without looking fishy" and/or "that's a scumbud so I'm not going to talk to that to give any possible credibilty to what other ppl are saying or looking like I'm defending them"

the 1 head has disappeared, and it reads to me like "oops I'm getting more SR and leaving us open to criticism than postie so I'm just stay hushed" - whereas a towny doesn't worry about that because all they should be trying to do is bring ideas to the table for discussion

titus pings me pretty hard but then titus does that when she replaces in to a game because I can't tell if her position is coming from ignorance from not having read the game or from convenient scum who stands by not having read the game to give shit content - gee, titus, the VCs aren't telling you much? HOW ABOUT READING THE GAME FOR CONTENT? it's just so fucking scummy to me it makes me start to rage inside (happened in Drunken Christmas and I let the rage come out and tunneled her pretty hard for that sort of shit-play, but then I was wrong about her so it's nearly impossible for me to get a read there, luckily my head cooled and I switched to the real scum and we won the game, for some reason titus likes to forget she was tunneling me for tunneling her and was the one not to let go of it)

I don't like how he's played at all and I don't like his claim or reason for claim, but at this point in the game I can't quite see a strong scum-motivation for it, it seems like the sort of thing that should have waited if he's scum to try and write a narrative to suit their agenda whereas as it is I'm open to the possibility that it is just a frustrated towny annoyed at the gamestate and trying to make things happen, and while I don't agree with going about it that way if town, can't discount that it is coming from town who made a bad move out of frustration

if his wagon got going I do think I'd be okay voting there

I can't get a read on shepard either way, and that annoys me

The small tone things I don't know what to tell you. I think they'd be the same for me as town and scum.

I think town is more likely to consolidate on a compromise lynch of some kind than stubbornly vote their top scumread in a stalled game. For example, I switched to fitz instead of wraith to try to get things moving, and iirc wraith wasn't my top scumread either. Not to say town can't be stubborn, but it's less likely.

I repeat the fact that the reasons are small because I'm making the point that that's how I form my reads, especially earlier on.

Yes, I scumread them even though there's no incriminating evidence. I wouldn't be shocked if prism flipped town, but I don't think it's very likely given those points and given how many townreads I have.
