Ghost of the Godfather


9 Players (+mod who plays)

2 Mafia Goon

7 Townies


Ghost Roles:

Cop - During night selects a player. Mod confirms whether this person is guilty or innocent.
Marker - Marks a player during the mark phase.
Doc - During night selects a player. This person can not be killed.
Town Marker - Marks a player during the mark phase. This marking is confirmed town.
No Role - The fifth dead person does not receive a role.
  • The mod is the "Ghost of the Godfather" and wants the mafia to win. The mod still has mod duties, meaning they must not talk to the players about the game.
  • When a player dies they receive a Ghost Role. Roles are received in the above order.
  • During the first 48 hours, the Markers privately submit who they would like to mark.
  • The Modfather will choose his own mark.
  • 48 hours into the day the marks are revealed. Only the Town Marker will be specified as town.

Never mind this is confusing. Town Marker is a confirmed last will ability, not marking confirmed town. The mod can mark, but cannot mislead the town's ability to deduce the Town Marker's last will ability.

I think the ruleset should be changed to only dead townies drawing PRs.
I don't think I was clear.

First off only town get the dead roles, if a scum players dies they are just dead and out.

Second off, an example day 2 goes like this.

Fred (town) was lynched day 1, becoming cop. During the night he investigates Billy who is town.
Johnny (town) dies during the night and becomes a Marker. Johnny and Friend get a dead thread to communicate in where they decide to mark Sally who they both believe is scum. They have 48 hours to make this choice. Ultimately it's up to Johnny as he is the Marker. If he does not mark anyone, he doesn't mark anyone. The mod has this option too (I'll add that).
In the live thread, the 48 hours end and the mod announces "Felicia and Sally are marked." Town discusses who was probably marked by mod, who was marked by dead thread, etc.

Honestly maybe a setup like this would be a whole lot more interested if the dead were just informed of who is scum and marked based off that.

My main concept is just the dead thread still playing the game.

Like I said the concept is about playing after death, I'm fine getting rid of mod stuff. I'm a little confused how you believe the mod would have that big of an effect when the only thing he can do is mark.
