I don't know how you can say that about the beat selection when the synths in Location take you to another world. Boring beats don't do that.
Also if you're looking for substance from Carti, you're doing it wrong.
I mean
the beats SLAP AS FUCK but there's nothing interesting going on in the higher frequencies except for, like, the cash register samples in new choppa
maybe I'm doing it wrong because I'm listening through headphones, I'll have to check it out in the car. but I like at least a lil substance in the music I enjoy

also this is criminally late but I checked out the joey badass album and hooooly shit I think I like this more than damn. bars for days and way more politically charged than I was expecting.
