Okay so while i'm waiting i'm gonna revise the situation possibilities

Comm is mob Doggo is Cop

Comm tries to take the cop down with him since its a decent tradeoff for his faction, but if he fails wolves protect cop

Comm is Wolf Doggo is Cop

Comm tries to expose cop so his faction knows who to protect for the rest of the game, making a gambit with a fair bit of reward

Comm is Cop Doggo is Mob

Comm claims, Doggo risks it all to take out the cop so only the wolves can be Id'd. Not a surefire gambit like scenario 2 but I'd be lying if i didnt say it could work. You're down a cop if you vote comm, but voting doggo saves him indefinitely in theory

Situation 4 is stupid. So thats not it.

Let me get this posted and think on it. 4 is out but something doesnt sit well in situation 1. So i'm not sure.

You missed other possibilities, like:

Comm is a Cop and Doggo's CC was a joke!

OR

Comm was JOKING (who claims @ L-3 anyway? Let alone in a spoiler.) and Doggo took him for reals and outed himself.

This is only possible in the lynching phase tho. If they fail to cause a mislynch, then the wolves will just protect the cop forever. You're right in that its their only option, But its defintely not a great gambit to be stuck with.

Yeah you're right there, I just make it a personal policy to not go up more than one tear of the WIFOM bullshit mostly because 1 it hurts my brain 2 Occams razor 3 I find WIFOM to often be eneldessly recursive

The trick to always remember it's only a game and what happens in THIS game stays in THIS game. But with that said Almost, I'll retract and explained why I faked a CC on Comm.

I felt like Comm was making a survivalistic play by claiming Cop, just to out the real cop.
The way he softed in 373 really bugs me, because it makes me feel like as a panic move by softing and the faking a PR claim. My stance in 449 was what I was thinking when I was faking the CC exactly.
I wanted to keep the real cop hidden in the event Comm was mafia.
Does that make sense?

And i havent played in like 4 years but I seriously doubt meta has changed so drastically that fake claiming as town is all of a sudden an acceptable play in any standard
