It is a part of the rules. You get "code number + 1" guesses. It gives players the chance to continue on a previous hint that they missed or didn't take all the guesses on.

No problem, though, since we're all playing by the same rules.

Now that the game is over, I wanted to apologize for one thing.

Firstly, in the 2nd game, I was glad to see we lost. I made an invalid clue and would have agreed if majiffy and randomidget had called me out on it. I used the hint "longest" to get my partner to pick the longest words remaining. This is against the spirit of the rules, but I didn't know that until after I posed the clue. I apologize for that.

I try to make the theme categories items that are still common lingo. I think all of those things you should have heard of before. If something seems like it might be too vague lemme know!

Not a problem at all. I went down the route of "what would a video game have as points?" and saw spell.
