It took some real fucking balls for him to swing this far from that Summertime '06 sound and from anything he'd done before outside of features, and I think we're low on artists willing to be this adventurous in hip-hop right now. On top of all that experimental ingenuity, though, sits an amazing album.
The production is consistently stunning, his bars are as self-aware as ever, and the hooks are more captivating than his other projects. I think Big Fish Theory will not only go down as his best but also a future classic. It's easily the most progressive hip-hop album since Yeezus.- Zachstralkita

Bar for bar SVCC 1 is probably his best. He held nothing back on that.In post 455, Zachstralkita wrote:Idk if u can call it better than Shyne Coldchain 1
That's like raw Vince Staples at his finest.
Summertime 06 and BFT have completely different vibes from Shyne Coldchain vol 1 and 2 so I don't see a point in comparing them actually
He just makes good music. All the way.
The crazy thing is that he's only 23. He's literally my age so I'm sure he's still growing mentally so I can't wait to see what he drops at like 27 or 28.- Lil Uzi Vert

Nah.In post 457, PJ. wrote:I thought most of what LUV said was hyperbole before I checked it out. Listened to it this morning, about 5 tracks. It was pretty legit. Probably will slowly give the rest a spin. Crabs in The Bucket is fire.
I know I can be a little overboard but its really that good. And yo Crabs in a Bucket is cinematic as hell.- Lil Uzi Vert

Gave the rest a spin. I think the second half is against all odds better than the first.
I've listened to like half of Summertime 06, that album is HELLA long.
Never listened to either SVCC but I loved Hell Can Wait. Probably more than Summertime 06. Big Fish Theory is probably my new fav by him tho.Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.- Killthestory

migos and joe budden is lol. migos and chris paul is oh shit. chris paul was legit leaning against his car hella relaxed lmao. that had me dying, but damn joe budden dropped the mic on Migos' dumbass. i mean dont get me wrong, i like a few of migos' songs, but like, what the fuck were they wearing hahahaha.- PJ.

There's a lot wrong with this opinion and I'm not sure where to really startLUV wrote:It's easily the most progressive hip-hop album since Yeezus.
1. Yeezus isn't really that progressive
2. This is not that progressive either, but it's still good
3. Atrocity Exibition is better than both, and actually has a sound that could be considered ""progressive""- Bomberman

I think a lot of people play hypeman to the Next Big Thing that they become so disillusioned to remember something can sound really good without it being groundbreaking. Mixing UK Garage and Rap isn't the sound of the future, that's been done already by The Streets (In 2002)- Zachstralkita
