I agree. guy went to the playoffs his first 3 years and won a NFC championship. I'd chalk last year up to injuries. I mean maybe letting Norman walk was a bad thing but he wasn't fired for that right off and only having one year to see if it was a shit thing to do is dumb. I think there's more to this story. Maybe he ticked off the wrong ppl or money is getting tight and he just wanted too much.

It's far simpler than that. Greg Olsen and Thomas Davis want new contracts - Olsen because he's underpaid, Davis because his is expiring and he wants security - and Gettleman was an impediment to getting those done. Davis in particular is really close to Jerry Richardson, the owner. Also, there are stories coming out that he was an asshole behind the scenes.

Also, the video Bruce Allen released of his justification as to why they couldn't sign Kirk Cousins to a - pretty shitty imo - contract is hilarious for the number of times he calls him Kurt.

This seems about right. Like this morning I was half paying attention to the Dan Patrick show and he said something like "he doesn't value veterans" so I could see something like older players getting upset that they had no job security under him.

Hey, Marcus Smith got cut, in case anyone forgot he was still playing. And Nelson would be out if not for the lost cash, though he still might leave. Good going dropping two relatively recent first round picks in the same off season. Great drafting there.

I have not posted here since before the draft. Was generally happy with how browns did in draft. Got a lot people I liked and picks. Brock had a bad oline protecting him when he was in houston. Hopefully he will do good with us or we can trade him or cut him. We have already gotten draft pick value out of him so if we get no more value I ain't sad. If we get 7-9 or better I will be happy. Playoffs unlikely to happen.

Brock's sadly done I reckon, his technique was exposed as just dreadful last season and I'd reckon his confidence is probably shot as well. Not many QB's come back from sucking so bad their first season starting with a team they trade him afterwards, especially given they literally paid the Browns to take him off their hands, that's gotta be a gut punch to the poor guy.

I think Kessler acquitted himself reasonably well last season given how messy your QB situation was. As Browns GM I start him, give him a crack at the whip rather than waste time with a guy who probably just isn't gonna perform well enough to justify his contract.

Poor Dolphins. Now their fanbase will be forced to endure the "Is Jay Cutler good?" debate for a whole year.

They weren't getting in the playoffs anyway but...

Cutler with Gase isn't worst case.

It's not likely to be any worse than they would have gotten with Tannehill, who's the definition of bang average.

Retiring from LSG's and Mish Mash, for the most part. If you want to contact me, I suggest going outside and enjoying what the world has to offer, instead.

Definitely DID suck, in the end...Probably.

Vikings fan, relatively new at it but I've already accepted heartbreak is what to expect from this team.

You guys signed 2015 Seahawks MVP Blair Walsh this offseason. 'Nuff said.

I'd be willing to avatar bet:
I win if the Jets have 3 wins or fewer
You win if the Jets have more than 3 wins.

Betting on the Jets losing 13 is basically cheating

Gosh betting over football....

In 2015 I had a bet with a friend, who said the Skins would win the NFC East, and he was so confident he'd put money on it, so he took the Skins, and I took the field. Then Romo goes ahead and breaks his neck twice...Eli sets an interception record...and I don't even know what the Eagles were doing, and the Skins come from 4-12 season to winning the division.

Long story short...fuck the NFC East.
