Not sure if anyone mentioned it before but your color is almost unreadable on the mafBlack background, it almost blends in.

You're actually the first person to ever tell me that! Is that why you have neon green in your sig? I have to highlight it to read it on mafSepia. I wish I could bring myself to change it but I'm too much of a creature of habit! UpTooLate will take over again soon,
though, so you won't have to deal with it for much longer.

It says in the OP that you're disqualified as a newbie once you've played two newbie games from scratch, I've played in a newbie as a replacement and in one game outside the newbie queue. Is it the game outside the newbie queue that disqualifies me?

Hmm. You're right... I did check your history for games but did not check to see if you started the game from scratch so as the rules are written you are eligible. I will put you in the queue now and you'll be placed in the next available game. Sorry for the confusion!

Yes! Sorry for not properly updating that. It had been pointed out to me that I missed someone so I wanted to make sure they could get in the game which meant the last one to sign up (you) would be bumped to the next one.
Thanks for your understanding! I really appreciate it, and promise that these kind of mistakes won't happen nearly as often when UpTooLate (the usual listmod) is back!

You can play two games from scratch as a newbie. To play newbies games after that, you need to have played a game outside of Rome, after which you'll be an SE. You can /in for a game in another queue if you like, try a normal or an open or see if there are any themes that interest you or players you've played with before that you want to play with again.

I've played one game from scratch a couple years ago and have recently replaced into a second, which I understood to still make me eligible since I haven't played two from scratch. But I'll have a look around anyway!

Looks like the listmod put you in the queue for a newbie slot, so I think I missed that you'd replaced into the second rather than starting there. Sorry! You'll be in the next game or so! Definitely worth looking around anyway, too, though!

This is an ambiguously worded rule that we will revisit when UTL is make to make clearer. This time I tried to go with consistency, but I definitely appreciate everyone who's been keeping me in check while I'm trying to catch back up doing the updates, haha.

Queue is up to date as of this post. I will be going out of town tomorrow so one of the other ListMods will be covering until a new Newbie Queue mod is chosen. Please let me know if there's any issues or concerns as I'll still be transferring over whatever I can until officially passing over the reigns. Of note, current IC requirements and Matrix6 setup are being discussed so if you have any input, please turn to this thread and we'll keep tabs on any positive changes we can make/implement in the near future.
