Mechanics:
Daystart
All 4 Mafia Goon are in the same faction and win together, but members of Mafia A do not know the members of Mafia B, and vice versa. Each half has a separate chat and a Compulsive nightkill.
The game employs Accelerated start.
For every mafia member killed or lynched, the next night phase is skipped. Skipped night phases can be accumulated.
If either side of the mafia fails to submit a nightkill, it will be randomized.

Note:
If everyone is dead or this situation is unavoidable (eg. 1 PGO v 1 Mafia), the game ends in a draw between all living sides.
If the night phase is skipped, the mafia sides will not be allowed to utilize their group chats or perform a nightkill.
Due to nature of the PGO role and compulsory nightkill requirement, the game will not automatically end when the numbers of living town and living mafia players are equal.

So you would notice that I put 5 votes to take to a lynch.

It is actually 4 votes.

So the standard of procedure that I knew is that should the (1) mod fucked up and (2) there is no chance that it would be mitigated, then there is only one solution : reset the vote.

No question on (1)

The question is, is it mitigatable?

So I started analysis by asking "what is a non-mitigatable issue that requires me to reset the vote?"

One incident where the mod decided to reset the vote, was that the mod called the hammer on the wrong time not for calling the lynch too early (it turned out one of them did not vote to begin with) so I came to a definition where "an issue is not mitigatable when an average player (which I define as an ignorant player because if players are not ignorant--why would you need to make vote count?) cannot reasonably detect it."

I ruled that in this incident, it is mitigatable for the following reasons.

1. It is widely known that a majority vote is a lynch regardless of whether it employs majority lynch rule or plurality lynch rule. If I put the vote limit at 3 when it is 4, I may decide it's non-migatable since some player come from a site with meta with plurality lynch.

2. I posted this

It takes 4 to gain a lynch.

If I posted 5 from get go, I may consider it non-mitigatable for screwing up from get go.

I don't think the problem is about inactivity. I think in this game, the activity is par. Sure, there are some days where there is no post at all, but at least when it does, it's substantive.

I think the problem of this game is about townblok.

Town got lucky the first time Virtuoso went for suicide. Had he didn't, he would be invisible when he is so deep inside the osuka-Commknight townblok.

When Creature started a town blocked and stopped taking input, it's over.

From the perspective as the setup designer, my mind is that town is not supposed to win by cross killing. Town is supposed to win by lynching because there are so many scum to lynch that it's almost hard to mislynch. The difference is that even though mafia may have the number, they don't get to coordnate. The night kill mechanism is actually used to make the game easier for town--not easier for scum--because scum is more likely to NK town and reduce the pool..

And computer simulation speaking, this game is townsided by a small margin.
