Never too early! Its possible, but Dany hasn't modded any other games I could find so it might just be his preferred standard operating procedure.

Tchill is here. This day 1 seems a little strange. There's not a stupid wagon on someone by page 5.
I was hoping one would have formed on Jordan. He was scummy enough but it stalled for some reason. He also seemed to come out agreessive early and but has stalled since. I feel like possible scum trying to lay low now.
In post 195, CloudKicker wrote:Is anyone goong to ask me to justify my naked votes or i can just keep doin it

To the game; w/o day chat, mafia.is more inclined to push a wagon then they would when they can coordinate? So who's been the most aggressive?
Oh no, that's not true at all. Scum are significantly less likely to be aggressive, daychat or no.

People who are probably town:
Necro
Lovelife
Tchill

Robb and havo have pinged me the most so far but not strongly, still on lurkers for now.

Just the language he's using - "the only thing that stopped me from changing my vote to him" and "it didn't really help to lower my suspicions" look like scum separating themselves from a partner who's had a bit of focus recently - "I didn't vote for him because of *reason* but I'm still suspicious!"
I haven't read all of your post yet, but I wanted to go ahead and respond to this real quick. I wanted to express my opinions about Jord, but I didn't have time to make a case against him last night, so I just went ahead and wrote down how I felt. I've now made my case against him though.

It still bothers me that you twice tried to shut down discussion with "too early" comments, and yeah, I don't think robb

being robb, he's pretty muted by his standards. He has also said he's just trying to keep his cool this game so maybe that's all it is, but it pings me that you were so quick to defend him. Enough to not wagon with you at least, I'm happy with my vote on BBT.

this is why meta is bad. you have 1 game against me and I had a very provable role that game that I was itching to use. I have since dialed down my play since that game, but unfortunately they are all ongoing.
That's totally fair, which is why I'm not saying "robb is scum," just filing it away.

I notice that his top four townreads are people that someone else had already townread. I'm a believer in building a townblock as early as possible, but that seems like trying to get into the club.

I've said this in every game I've played this year: Site meta lets people get away with anti-town shit that shouldn't be tolerated and we'd all be better off with some more policy lynches, or at least the serious possibility of them.

That said, I'm really having trouble seeing cloud coming from a scum perspective on this one.

I'm unaware its an unpopular opinion but everyone likes to pretend towns are better at getting mafia day 1 than they really are (plus sometimes the policy lynchees are actually scum)--also, don't worry! My motivation was that I thought the reads on jord were pretty weak to begin with (why I ditched that wagon like 15 pages earlier) and piss did nothing to earn the shit he immediately got. But I only had time to read quickly and wanted to read again before calling people out.
In post 613, Havo wrote: He hasn't. In fact his play the way he has come in has led me to vote him.

Backhand calling his wagon gross also makes me think Backhand is pushing an agenda.
Care to make that shade anything like specific? What do you think I'm doing?

Anyway, now that I looked again--Ignition seems super new and really hard to read. Hopefully he'll be easier to read later.

I don't put a lot of stock into the beetlejuice stuff, but tchill votes have all been on players who drew attention to themselves but to my eyes weren't particularly scummy (jordarrian, cloudkicker, and pisskop). I'm on board with this wagon.

I'd already mostly pushed jord into the lynchbait category, and the increased wagon on you made no sense when you came into the game. Also from a scum perspective I don't think you have much reason to go after me, I was being mostly townread and wasn't leading any kind of serious push that you would need to discredit. What do you have to gain by not just going with the flow? So for now you're in my townpile, and if you think bbt is town that's good enough for day 1 when I could easily see lynching half the game.

I've heard a bunch of people say "I already said why pk is scum I'm not saying it again" but it was in-one-ear-out-the-other, so humor me. Explain it again. Preferably in ways that don't involve jord's newbie play.

If you put those two arguments together you end up with a whole bunch of nothing. If scum don't want to be on the same wagon Day 1 then it would follow that if scum were already on pk's wagon they would not want to hammer so as to avoid ending up on the same wagon.

(Aside: you're right that scum rarely are all on the same wagon Day 1 but given that meta totally knows that, scum should actually do it more often)

Tchill, havo, ignition--this is where our inquiries should be moving.

Virtuouso has done nothing with the slot I otherwise townread, so its getting stale.
bbt is a nullread, pending the flips of others.
game replacement is a tentative townread
Havo is a mild townread, but if Im wrong about any townread Id want it to be here.
Cloudkick is a relative townread, after comparing their actions after I replaced with before. Nothing concrete though
loverman is a townread
rob is a relative townread, but stubborn and perhaps a little rusty on the game theory side of life.
Why is bbt now a nullread?

Ah, missed it, my mistake.

Hopkirks case on Tchill is strong and the stubborn townies on PK should take a hard look at it.

At the time, I liked the way he engaged with robb and havo about cloudkicker.

Also, yes please let him claim.

I felt good about this post at the time. I was mixing up my moments in the game though on my last post, he wasn't talking to robb and havo directly.

To be clear, that mild townread has long since been lost.

Are you refusing to answer my question about 199?

You already know the conclusion I have reached. Dodging questions doesn't help you either.
I'm refusing to give a different answer than the true one you're not happy with--I read the post, it felt town. Until you brought it up, I'd forgotten I even included him on my initial list.

Also we have five days. We can let him claim.

It was extremely flimsy! At the time I was voting for you for equally weak reasons, you gotta start somewhere. As for the "false" reason, when I looked back to check and saw him quoting robb and talking about cloudkicker I thought he had agreed with me on them, but that happened later.

I think two reasons--he was scumreading Fykus, who was also the only real counterwagon Day 1, and B:

Fykus was the likely scum nightkill's scumread, and the closest thing to a counter wagon to the piss and tchill wagons, both of which escalated quite quickly. That said, the speed of the wagon on him today has me wavering.

Definitely not an SK--its not a bad idea at all, a confirmed townie would help a lot.

It was quite obvious Virt soft claimed Vig, so this is just a huge red flag for me. If BBT isn't paying attention to the thread, then why the hell is he

throwing his vote around so recklessly and pushing so hard for lynches?

So this should actually be a town tell rather than a red flag. If scum shot aiming for the vig, which seems highly likely, then scumBBT would definitely be aware of that.

And the more I think about it, the more I think hopkirk is right about ignitions comments on virtuoso. There is no town perspective that still believes virtuoso was a town vig day 2.

VOTE: Ignition

That's L-1, he already claimed. I'm comfortable with this being hammered.

To quote me from the dead thread, this is my third consecutive town loss in part due to a too-quick vote in mylo (funnily, Robb and Dany were the two previous culprits)
