You can do 6+10 or 8+8. Your column progress is separate to Gamma's, if that's what you meant, and you can't use only half of a roll if both halves are legal (why would you want to?)Fickle, cold and harsh or caring and warm
Strongly opinionated or barely invested, but a constant

You can advance up to three columns a turn so you've got an unused column, meaning there's no risk in taking another roll. Once you've got all three on the board is when it gets dangerous, but you can freeze after any roll to secure your progress.Fickle, cold and harsh or caring and warm

yeah, so the idea is there are three white pegs that you use for the current turn, and once all 3 are placed you can't use any other columns (so I got 7, 8, and 9 eventually from my rolls last round, so if I ever rolled after that and couldn't make a pair of dice equal 7, 8 or 9, I would lose all my progress). Once you end your turn, you replace them with pegs of your own color, and if you get that column again in a later turn you start from where you left off instead of the beginning.
So next turn, if I rolled <4, 4, 4, 6> as my first roll, I'd have to set 8 and 10 as my first two white pegs for that turn, with 8 moving up one from where I left off, and I'd only lose that turn's progress if I couldn't roll an pair that added up to 8, 10, or whatever 3rd number I roll/choose next round.- Gammagooey

Still on Shrek, here is another video of the game actually playing out.
Shrek your options are either 6 (3+3) and 10(5+5) OR 8 (3+5) and 8 (3+5). If you do the first option you still have one more white peg to use at your discretion. You cannot lose your progress as long as you have a white peg unless you roll numbers that have no combinations available still (like if someone has claimed the two column and you roll all 1's). The second option will leave you with 2 white pegs
Any questions again please feel free to ask!- Shrek

How to play:
An in-depth rules guide can be found here or if you prefer video form, here
This game will be played in 7 rounds. Each round consists of two parts.
For the first part a question will be asked that will require a number answer. Your goal is to try and get as close to that number as you can without going over.
For the second part everyone's answers will be revealed and then players will wager on who's answer they think to be closest without going over. Everyone will always have two freebie chips worth $1 each that they may put on the same answer or split onto two answers. If any player has extra chips they have earned through the course of the game they may also add that to one of their freebie chips to increase their winnings. The closer an answer is to the middle of other players' answers, the less the payout will be.
After the bids are placed the correct answer will be revealed and the player(s) who answered closest will get $3. All other players who bet on that player (or players) will also receive a payout. Anyone who bid on the correct answer will lose any money they bid (but will keep freebie chips).
After 7 rounds the player with the most cash will be the winner! The player who has the least cash will enter theDuel. Placement for this match matters for the next game we will play. The better you do the more options you will have!
This goes without saying but NO looking up answers to questions
NowRandomidgetandBigYoshiFangot 1st and 2nd in the previous Round Table and will be receiving a small advantage in this game.Randomidgetwill be getting $1 to start with.BigYoshiFanwill receive $1 added to his score at the end of the game.
Payouts:
The answer that is in the middle will have a 2:1 payout, the next closest on either side will be 3:1, then 4:1, then 5:1. If you think the correct answer is lower than all the answers given you can bid that the answer is lower and it will be 6:1.
Submission:
To submit, PM me your answer. Deadline will be 48 hours HOWEVER if I receive all answers I will post the result. However if you wish to use that 48 hour period feel free to submit closer to the end.
After the answers are submitted, players will have 24 hours to PM their bids. Again if all bids are received early I will post the results.
Example Gameplay:
Question: How many letters are in the Arabic alphabet?
Ani answers 20
Mallow answers 30
Kdowns answers 25
Betty answers 40
Marco answers 10
Jill answers 1
Ryan answers 45
Kdowns' answer is in the middle so it will pay 2:1
Mallow and Ani's answers are outside of that so they will pay 3:1
Betty and Marco are next in either direction so they will pay 4:1
Ryan and Jill's answers will pay 5:1 if anyone bets on them
Mallow puts down both his freebie chips on his own answer.
Kdowns puts 1 chip on his own answer, 1 chip on Ani's answer
Ani puts 1 chip on Mallow's answer and 1 chip on the smaller than the answers' given (pays 6:1)
The correct answer is 28 so kdowns will receive $3 for being the closest. Kdowns will receive another $2 because he put 1 chip on his own answer (kdowns' answer pays 2:1). No one else bet on Kdowns so no one else will receive any money (however freebie chips are not lost so they are simply returned).- mallowgeno

Which answer is closest without going over? You may split your two bets or you may double up on 1 answer. If you have any cash (currently only Randomidget does) you may apply that to an answer as well!
24 hours to PM me. I will be more lenient since this is a weekend

I like how three of us all had the same strategy of going for the big gaps, then another two going for the highest ones, then rm and Xalxe doing their own things, and yet somehow NONE ofit pays off.Fickle, cold and harsh or caring and warm
