All thanks to fferyllt, who came up with it. But, it's clever and multifaceted which is what I personally love about it.

I'm renewing my nomination of Natirasha for Lily Leanán
This nom seems to get lost in the noise. Can we discuss it and come to a decision now that the poll game has been over for a while?- fferyllt

the other title that was discussed when I nominated Lily Leanán several months ago is "Leanán Sidhe". Sidhe is a term that's a lot more well known than Leanán, and the combination of the two invoke what I was trying to invoke - an inhabitant of a Fae, fey magical realm overlaying our own so closely that sometimes you can wander from one to another and back again. Nati's Arcadia-themed mafia games, her abiding interest in Magic the Gathering, and her writing are all encapsulated in that name.In post 1605, Psyche wrote:Like, I couldn't understand it until someone explained it to me. The other titles already approved, I feel like people can understand them with comparatively little guidance. If you think I'm wrong, you'll have to make a stronger case.
Nominate Natirasha for Leanán Sidhe.
Does it address your concern about the name being hard to understand? I think it's more esoteric than obscure - some will be called to learn more, and some will leave well enough alone. Those who explore will learn some interesting things about Celtic mythology and the history of the Emerald Isle.
I prefer Lily Leanán, partly because it's a meld of old and new.- fferyllt

I actually suggested Lily Leanan several months ago, but it never really got discussed (aside from LLD and me kicking around Lily versus Sidhe), and I wasn't visiting MS much for several months so I think it was forgotten or buried deep under a lot of other discussions. In post 1725, Cheery Dog wrote:the april fools titles were never real titles.
and that's the only place such a title has been placed.

Thanks, everyone!
And thank you Psyche for your chronicles of discovery. I hope the dust on that wiki page wasn't too thick!
I've been absent-ish from the site for quite a while. I'm a little surprised and extremely touched that people remember my playstyle that well.
I guess I have to try to live up to it, now.- fferyllt

I like Aristophane's version, too.
Implosion's version makes me think of Kate Wilhelm's books. The story seems to always take place outside where the characters focus their attention. You catch what's going on out of the corner of your eyes.- fferyllt

I like this one a lot. EP has what seems to me to be incredible self-restraint, which he relaxes in one direction for the most part - to reach out with comfort and companionship. He stretches his comfort zone with deliberation. In post 3022, implosion wrote:Extraordinary Composure:- fferyllt

There's so much more to singer's contribution to the site than listmodding. singer, her family, the Commune, legendary meets that brought scummers from far-flung parts of the world are some of the site's recent-ish foundations. I keep thinking about pyramids, but I can't make a title from it. Not yet.
The mermaid symbolism is also germaine. A siren call.- fferyllt
