A Mid-Scummer Night's Dream - D.S. al Fine

Apparently i cant sleep coz i keep thinking of this game.
Regardless i dont think "Reg still being alive" is very indicative of anything yet.
If Reg is town and this is what scum see at the end of Moonrise 1:

A random dream-receptive player will be able to send another player a one-shot bulletproof vest. The vest must be given tonight.

What must be the first thing that goes through their heads.
As likely as Reg it is to be scum for not being shot, he's also as likely to be town because scum were scared of this.
Now it's obvious that Night 3 scum didnt shoot me, even tho by early claiming i was obviously trying to soak one of the bullets, why did Brian die instead, did scum get worried about a watch on Reg?, did scum get worried about a watch on me?

Another thing that has ocurred to me is why people arent questioning hebichan, Hider is a p.strong role for town to have, and the nerf of it requiring the target to be dream sensitive doesnt make sense if scum are dream sensitive and cant turn it off, and if that ability is on town, well hider still gets a correct result, even tho they are vulnerable without their realization.
And if no scum is dream sensitive then LLD's role is just useless and my role is too strong, and hell, my role wouldnt even be necessary to begin with since i assume part of the fact that my role exists is due to my uninformed nature.
Like no matter how much i look at it, it seems very townsided for scum to be all non receptive, not only is only town getting the abilities, anyone that gets one becomes conf town.
Ties this up a bit back to N1, did all remaining scum decide to turn off their dream receptiveness just in case? scum is more informed. Although in this case Reg would be conf town.

These are just things that are crossing my mind. Probably more that I forgot before I decided to turn on my pc again.

Also i do have to wonder if scum's dream receptiveness and their ability to use nightmares like the one on Night 2 are related.

My gut tells me that game-design wise the nightmare wasn't a scum ability. It's just more fun to give scum targeted roles and have nightplay require skill. I'm thinking it's the sort of thing that would be related to maybe scum being lynched D1, or the modified mason lovers dying N2.

I'm a bit worried that not all of the claimed dream-roles are town. Forcing scum to all claim VT by having specifically themed town-roles without either fakeclaims or ambivalent scum PRs seems not great. Ceph's, Sakura's, and Smith's are all pretty trivially verifiable, so if scum those would have to be actual scum roles.

I don't get as strong a TvT vibe between Sakura and Maria as I did with drealm earlier. Sakura was pretty reasonable in pointing out a missing explanation, and I don't think Maria's attitude of "well you could have just asked me" is reasonable - she's just being obstinate, either as a way of deflecting or because she just is obstinate.

if only town are dream receptive, how does someone receiving an ability make them conf town, if we don't know for certain that scum aren't?

Well, certainly if someone claims to be dream receptive and doesn't receive the ability from sakura that'd make me pretty suspicious. And I doubt all scum are dream receptive and can vote because otherwise so much of this game is essentially a red herring

Well not everyone thinks like that, and so far the evidence points far away from it not being a scum ability.

1) The Nightmare's actual effect was pro scum, as it roleblocked everything except factional abilities.
2) Day 1 lynch, baku, flipped "Nightmare"
3) We lynched a town dreamer on both Day 2 and Day 3, yet Day 2 had a Nightmare
4) The Modified Mason-Lovers which could be something, died AFTER the Nightmare

I have a hard time seeing how the Nightmare can be sourced by anything else other than a scum ability.

One thing that could be the source of said nightmare could be Ceph's ability, since he supposedly used it the moonrise phase that led to it, but that only works if he's scum, as... if town, he has no reason to hide something like that, and the mods have explicitly stated that they wont lie to us, so something like that wouldnt be a hidden mechanic of Ceph's role.

ummm, when I tried to address issues in the game I had with LLD at the beginning of the Day she just went pissy AtE so I ducked out and let others deal with it and have back and forth

my positions haven't changed much, still want to lynch maria, LLD, and think paladin is still likely scum
no rush, not much to say an addition to what's been said at this point

dunno what else you want from me or even exactly what "this exact stuff" is - you mean voting scum D1, being part of the "well we gotta get a lynch" EoD 2?, off of a bad wagon and bad lynch on D3? poking at things I see issues with?
