*looks very pointedly at the Marines* Gotta love some Nocturne, that's for sure.
Honestly, except for that Misfits vs. WE game (and maybe G2 vs. SSG), most of these games have been pretty interesting.

Agreed. I know Reddit and Twitchchat hate it, but I find the ADC-heavy gameplay much more interesting than most other metas.

I've enjoyed this worlds as a whole quite a bit more than the last few.
While its definitely not perfect, the fact that there were no MASSIVE GAMEPLAY CHANGES TWO WEEKS BEFORE WORLDS STARTED.... really seems to have let teams work out a lot of things.

idk, I liked the worlds where the meta wasn't figured out at the start of the season. Season 6 was by far the most boring worlds, followed by Season 4.
But even now K-Scope, do we really know if the 'correct' way to play this meta is the scaling lategame ADC comps that SKT/SSG/TSM have primarily been running, or if it's the more aggressive 'on a clock' comps from teams like RNG/EDG/MSF?

3-9 could be managed by going to bed early; 12-6 is almost impossible.

On one hand, I do agree that the uncertainty heading in can be a contributor to interesting matches, but I really think the best way to have that is probably to set up one or two different ways of playing that almost naturally clash against each other, such as the current late game scaling vs. early-game snowballing. Maybe it's not as explosively varied, but it's also not so unstable and volatile.
I mean, really, do you honestly want to have another Dairus situation at worlds?

hard to believe we're in a place where a single win against AHQ for C9 and GAM for IMT means they likely make it out of groups (with a possibility of having to tiebreak).
Meanwhile, TSM has no single game that assures they at least get a tiebreaker and must win two to assure it... although beating MSF comes close to assuring a tie break.
Overall you have to feel good about where NA stands. Europe looks in a bad way. G2's first game against SSG will likely determine if they at least get a tie break.
MSF is in a good position, but of course they need to continue to perform at the level they did. Beating either TSM singly or beating WE+FW gives them lots of options to make it in. WE alone means a likely tie break.
By the second game of tonight we'll hopefully know that IMT has made it to the knockout stages (if they beat GAM in Game 1 and LZ beats Fnatic in Game 2). I can stay up that late!
Obviously whether you're first or second is a big deal as you likely get to dodge SSG and SKT in the quarters, but one step at a time.
