I didn't say they looked good or even decent, just not too bad (bad enough) to place them that low. Plus the giants had 2 receivers taking the heavy coverage for the TE to get what he got.

It looks like they'll improve a bit too.

Season looks kind of wide open except for a handful of teams.

Jets should be able to get 1 or 2 out of MIA and BUF. Probably just 1. Chargers might or might not lose to them. So best they get 6 wins, but I think they go 5-11. 6th pick feels right to me. The other teams I mentioned are where the arrangement could go anyway

This is probably the best case scenario, yeah. let all the expirings run out, keep the young good guys draft best guys available(+ a QB hopefully) and then freen agency whatever is left when the team develops.

Yeah the cap hit for Eli goes from 12m this year to 6m the year after that. That's where they cut ties. They should work on making a reasonable O line so we can see what we have in Webb without him dying in 2019.

I heard some rumors that the Jaguars might be willing to trade for Eli which would be great. The giants leaning websites I read were framing it like "for a 1st round pick and more would you do it?"

and I was just like LOL in no universe is eli worth a 1st rounder on its own, let alone plus. I'd settle for 2 third rounders or something like that. I think the giants should snap off that deal if its offered to them. It just gives them a lot more flexibility to actually do a rebuild.

Yeah, though reading the jags boards that seems around the point that they think is right for him too.

Quietly Eli has played quite well this year, under extraordinarily bad circumstances.

Our O-line was shit then its better now, but not enough. Crowell is playing like shit. Hogan did well against jets so he does deserve a shot. Browns don't have a QB that can do it all. No player really can. At least Browns are starting to show progress that they realize that.
No, he only played in relief.

Right the problem is the Jags got good all the sudden despite their QB situation and won't be able to draft a QB. Bortles is trash and anyone they can trade for is VERY old. Kirk Cousins seems to be a thing(but all the rumors keep saying San Francisco)? Indy gonna have to cut ties with Brissett at some point.
That Kaepernick guy is a free agent
. Minnasota isn't keeping both Bradford and Teddy B on the payroll(AND CASE KEENUM IS BALLING OUT!!!!!!). Jimmy G is a free agent but like...if he's any good he's not leaving New England, also if he were they would of traded him over Brissett, right? Has 15 years of dominance just made me forget that the Patriots have humans making decisions too? Were those rumors of Tyrod leaving Buffalo true?

I think the Jags really will have two choices, (three, but Kaep blacklisting) but ultimately they will stay with Bortles if the Jags prop him up enough. As far as options, I guess Brissett is the only starting QB who will be on the market next season? (plus Hoyer probably) Although for some reason Buffalo hates Tyrod Taylor, so I can see him on the move. But as far as teams, we're just talking about the 49ers and Jets who will be searching for QBs. Every other team has an answer to that question. The teams who have starters who they should move on from (Giants, Ravens) will most likely draft someone, but stick with their guys until they retire.

Not surprised.

Eventually everyone will come to terms with the fact that under this collective bargaining agreement, Goodell can suspend anyone for whatever reason he wants short of doing so on the basis of race or religion and a court will ultimately uphold it.

Nah. It’s impossible to conclude if he ever physically abused her. I can't go as far to say he never at any point touched her or treated her badly, but the allegations, all stemming from her testimony and photos she provided, don't seem reliable or trustworthy given all the conflicting evidence. No one else claims to have witnessed abuse by Zeke, however there are plenty who claim to have questioned or disagreed with Tiffany's allegations due to their direct involvement. I just don't see how an outside party such as the NFL can feel justified in making such a conclusion and suspending him.

wait I thought of a simpler way

it's as simple as this:

Goodell had a meeting with Elliot. They sit down. Goodell looks Elliot in the eyes and says "is there any truth to these allegations" and in an instant Goodell has his answer, simply by reading body language and voice.

You have kids? ever watch kids? Something breaks, they each blame the other, but if you know how to read people you can tell which one is lying and which one is telling the truth. You don't need undeniable evidence to dole out justice / know who needs punished, that is what is good about Goodell's position, it's actually more reasonable than the law system, because, really, that is broken and doesn't work most of the time anyway. Otherwise Elliot would have gotten away with shit if it were left up to the law (like is typical for domestic violence.)

perhaps you think OJ Simpson should be allowed back into the league? Maybe let him coach or be a broadcaster?

have you ever worked with kids?

holy shit some kids are fucking excellent at lying.

and equating ezekiel elliot to a kid seems fucking asinine.

you're stating this as if YOU HAVE NEVER EVER SUCCESSFULLY LIED TO ANYBODY BEFORE. you're also stating this as if humans are infallible.

Like holy shit. That's just an absurd statement.

If they've got the evidence that he's guilty then suspend him, have him go to court whatever.

I mean, consider the source.

What did you guys think about the bruises that TMZ posted? Were they fake or something?
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Drealmerz is a dummie, but the DA straight said they thought Zeke was guilty but didn't think he'd be found guilty in court (cause dv cases are basically impossible unless you got a rice tape).

Also, let's remember this isn't even talking about the dude he assaulted in July or the girl he molested in March.

p happy with the Iggles
If not for that boneheaded roughing the passer and some really borderline PI calls Carolina isn't even in that game. Of course they were gifted an interception. But either way, not used to seeing them play so well. The D line brought be back to the Buddy Ryan years.
