wow, people are fucking thick, just because sometimes you can't tell someone is lying doesn't mean you always can't tell anybody is lying
fucking sick that people are defending this asshole, and sad that they're so blinded by whatever that they can't tell someone who is a violent abusive person when it is so blatantly obvious - this is why it is good that Goodell has the power he has, because other people with less integrity just look for any excuse not to take action
I bet some think Rose McGowen is out of line too because she has no evidence she was assaulted/raped
"derrrderrrr give me evidence or it never happened!" - learn some common fucking sense / to use brains
On the one hand, I think the balance of evidence (which is the standard the NFL uses unlike the criminal justice system) suggests Ezekial Elliot is a shitbag and a domestic abuser, and thus don't have an issue with his suspension. On the other, it's bullshit he got the right amount of games and people like Josh Brown got away with one game for a much stronger evidence (but hey, he's a kicker and white, so it didn't get anywhere near the media attention), and I harbour an intense desire for Roger Goodell to be humiliated in court the way he should have been over the Deflategate debacle.
Can both sides be hit by a meteor? I like that option.

Goodell had a meeting with Elliot. They sit down. Goodell looks Elliot in the eyes and says "is there any truth to these allegations" and in an instant Goodell has his answer, simply by reading body language and voice.
You have kids? ever watch kids? Something breaks, they each blame the other, but if you know how to read people you can tell which one is lying and which one is telling the truth. You don't need undeniable evidence to dole out justice / know who needs punished, that is what is good about Goodell's position, it's actually more reasonable than the law system, because, really, that is broken and doesn't work most of the time anyway. Otherwise Elliot would have gotten away with shit if it were left up to the law (like is typical for domestic violence.)
perhaps you think OJ Simpson should be allowed back into the league? Maybe let him coach or be a broadcaster?
lmao wtf
ezekiel elliot is a not good person, and i don't respect what the standard he's trying to set with the NFL. the nfl pay them millions of dollars to not get into trouble, and so i think it's well within reason that they'd like to not have to be forced into certain allegations like this. whether or not the standard is bad for how the nfl treats players is kind of worthless when the domestic violence case outshadows this fact but also when the nfl is paying these guys millions to just do their jobs and stay out of trouble like a normal person.

I think the only reason they'd hire Kaep is for the PR.
Hundley should get ATLEAST 3 starts before they even think about trying to replace him.

like as far as I understand. before entering todays game he was 2 for 10 with an int. And today he was 20 something for 30 something with a TD and 3 ints. Like they aren't pretty and maybe he turns out to be trash but he's pretty inexperienced and the Vikings D is pretty rough.

Next game will be Hundley's first start. There is a huge difference between having a whole week to prepare knowing you are the starter and being thrown in mid-game. Yes, a backup SHOULD be ready to play at all times. But in reality they usually aren't. So his stats, while not entirely meaningless, are worth somehwat overlooking to this point. But yeah, if he's absolutely terrible over the next 2-3 games, they should bring someone in. Maybe Kaepernick, maybe not. But McCarthy was clear that Hundley gets the first shot so Kaepernick probably won't be willing to sign right away anyway.

The bigger issue is not with the Pack starting Hundley, it's that they're going to be starting him while having a back up whose last meaningful non-preseason action was as in Division III for Wesley. Like, go with Hundley if you want, but surely you should bring in someone who has experience and you know can adequately do the job in the event Hundley gets injured. Knowing how these things go, they'll probably trade something to Indy for Scott Tolzien, who'll end up starting a second game as a further slap in the face to Kaepernick.
