Ya I'm with Ginngie on this one. Maki has absolutely tried her hardest not to explain and answer here, and Ginngie has been really incisive. This is a really bad sequence of posts from Maki. and, although town have bad reads, I think her (right? i ask bc my pronoun has been female for a long time but i'm a guy lmao) deflecting and being basically dragged into answering is indicative of her being scum.

So i'm kind of having trouble evauluating yurkin in an unbiased way really. I haven't gone after him hard bc of that (and because I very rarely go after people hard). Like to me reading his ISO he seems like the classic sort of lurking scum type. Like...I have trouble seeing the town motivation I guess? Like I absolutely agree with gerry who said this in post 623 "i'm getting worried about your posts. it seems you're content with just doing small sideline talk without picking a side or taking a stance. what are your reads?".

Like, yurkin has pretty much spent a lot of time not really expressing opinions on useful things but then in post 424 he pretty much said "end this day now, this game is so slow" which is a pretty scum-advancing position imo. But it's like also awful because yurkin was doing nothing at all to actually advance the game. He certainly wasn't voting (and only voted soon after explicitly getting called out on it). He did say he scumread me quite a few times but most of his words regarding me were making fun of my phrasing or giving irrelevant responses. And his phrasing seems to me pretty awkward at all times. Not quantifiably, I guess that's just gut, but he seems to be like...inauthentically trying not to appear to care or something. And then yeah there's his post which drew controversy which looked like a rolefish talking about a specific player possibly being a VT.

So to me none of that's a smoking gun but it feels to me like an overall scummy pattern of behaviour. HOWEVER I am questioning my read for a couple of reasons. Firstly: yurkin's posting towards me makes me have a negative emotiional reaction not related to his alignment. He just sort of made fun of me in a way that I considered at the time a little bit annoying and hypocritical at points. And it's hard to seperate views re that from views on alignment! I'm not sure if I adequately have. Secondly: I feel like I myself have done a lot of the behaviours I just accused him of. For example, I've made a lot of posts not regarding matters of actual reads or anything, sort of skirting around the edges. I haven't taken many stances or pushed for much. i'm on record that i fake not caring every mafia game. So I feel kind of loathe to accuse somebody of being scum when it could be rightly pointed out that I do the same thing.

On balance I think he's probably scum, but this is why I haven't like... gone hard after him or anything hope that makes sense.

And it's not a lynch, so I'm not even like being particularly anti-town by not fighting it, nor is it that bad not to block scum. Idrk, I guess maybe you'll get high effort Vij at some point when I get particularly inspired. But maybe not right now.
