The main changes made in review were the addition of a traitor and a VT, and the buffing of a mafia goon to the even night roleblocker, and I suggested the traitor/vt addition when the 9/2 setup was deemed townsided.

The heavy communication theme that meshed with the flavour was generally me, not to take away from how great my reviewers were

SO many of the scenarios which make it balanced happened. Not only did Flubbernugget out himself and a mason (and by extension the other mason) in day 2, if he hadn't been killed in night 2 he was going to get the false negative on Taiho.

I mean yes, if you were killed in night 1 by a scumteam that weren't stuck in a revolving door, then in day 2 we would be looking at 2 PRs down, the masonry would no longer be able to privately communicate, and the masonry and the only investigative would be all but known to people paying attention.

Scum would literally have been better off not even knowing about the existence of the traitor. And not just any particular set of scum either; none of the many pairs of eyes even mentioned Taiho as a possible traitor.

I think you're taking that as a general thing, whereas in the specific case scum shouldn't be bending over backwards anyway to lynch a town neighbouriser as that's low power stuff.

The PT enabler dying doesn't make the PT cop get negative results on people who were in PTs.

Scum should have killed Jingle after the enabler claim was accepted by town.

But the fact is that it objectively wasn't imbalanced.

PT Enabler could have very easily been scum (scum enablers are normal too, and scum enabling town roles is more common than you might think) and was far from conftown, but would have also been a good target for a scum nightkill following the claim in the absence of knowing who the masonry was.
The PT cop outed the masonry to anybody with eyes, and this was highly probable to occur. It's verifiable, but when you do so you out basically all of the town PRs. Scum can kill PRs.
Except they don't even have to kill the PT cop right away, because they have the even night roleblock which is in there entirely to further reduce the impact of the PT cop.
Mafia were not high power PRs everywhere because they had an extra ~half goon (traitor) in a 13p game.


You're thinking this is imbalanced because you saw everyone townblock. That is NOT an inevitability in this setup. With better scum NKs and a worse town, it simply wouldn't have happened.

Except you're still missing the part where a cleared traitor can steer all the lynches they like, and scum killing them would be dumb because they know there is a traitor and there are 3 PRs that are probably known to everyone by day 3, even though this sentiment was quoted at you like a dozen times
